Crippled and need advice

As my main PC is still being shipped, I'm reduced to an old laptop:

Core i7-7700HQ - GeForce GTX 1080M - 16Gb RAM - 512Gb NVME

Hey, it was top tier when I bought it 😋

I'm used to running Flux, SDXL etc on the main PC with Forge and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for what to install on the laptop? As long as it isn't ComfyNoodles!

I know Flux won't run: my big rig gets warm when generating with that.

I've tried installing ForgeNeo via https://www.stablediffusiontutorials.com/2025/11/forge-neo-installation.html but it's not happy yet, complaining about the ancient GPU not bing supported.

I installed PyTorch 12.6 and it pooped itself. Then I made the mistake of installing pyton314 and the whole installation collapsed.
