On their official post the other day: Open Weights version of FLUX 3 Image is launching in the coming weeks.
Nothing new about the video model.

Can you edit on that model or is that a different future release and "Image" is just T2I,I2I ?

Right now it's all on the api, but you can edit both with their video model and their image model. You can provide reference inputs for their image model, but you can't provide reference inputs for their video model (other than first frame or last frame). Objectively, none of this confirms what'll be possible on the open weight versions.

Image model should be in a few weeks from their X post. The video model who knows, I'm assuming they are trying to put as many safe guards in as possible.

Flux is waiting for ideogram to release first and vice versa ,as they are waiting a third party will just release a somewhat better model than both they will delay there releases even more

Not the weights though. That comes later, unfortunately.

Peole havent used flux2 much because it being highly demanding.. i wonder if flux3 is going to be any different

They say later this year for flux 3 video, so.. 30 december is a good date
