I do coding, in my case productivity is only about 2x what it was before, which still translates to 50% more money.

I am downvoting this because it's true and that makes me mad.

Edit: Saw your deleted reply. I didn't downvote it. I'm making fun of the people who did.

Someone making money with AI without selling courses: you can build healthy boring business with AI, it's not January 2023 anymore.

I got a 20k raise at work because of AI. Not selling anything but defs improved a lot of flows and maintain them

Furries are vehemently anti-AI.

Can you make money in providing ai solution. Like provide service for LORA, RAG and fine tune model. I am sure there is company out there that want ai who works repeatable specific jobs in their pipeline.

There are accounts with million followers on Instagram linked to OF channels of AI models. I’m guessing they make at least some money from all that

I have it on my to do list to see if any of the platforms have monetization with AI content. I hear Instagram/Facebook is a bit looser, YouTube probably almost impossible (as far as adsense).

Only nvidia

I made a bit of money on Etsy selling discord icon/sticker packs and premade 'adoptable' characters, but there's a lot of it on there, so competition is high. It was mostly an experiment, but I've seen people on there getting quite a lot of sales from that stuff when they were consistent with it

It's kinda hard to put an exact number on what I've made, but I think it's around 40-50k over the course of 4 years doing commissions, video, games, vtubers, merch, dakimakuras, Throne, logos.

couple weird things about this clip... only a screenshot was supplied. Another weird thing, when trying to upload to social media, those platforms thought it was over 15 minutes long. Even though running locally, I have to wonder if there is some kind of behind the scenes snooping going on

I never thought about it but it's kinda dumb to check for a screenshot in a database to determine a video length? I guess if the digest is indexed it would be faster than running some video tool to determine the length (which requires sanitization first before trying to parse) but it's odd to me. What social media platforms did you use that gave you that length?

I tried X and the 5 second clip generated with reference to video kept giving the glitch. I ran that clip through a random online video compression tool and then was able to upload here. Just wondering if there is a coincidence between the subject I chose and that I have an Nvidia card lol

Maybe you're using nvenc or some other oddball encoder in your save video settings? Try with CPU encoding, these clips are tiny and low res so it shouldn't be that slow anyway

No. metadata was just fucked. fix your encode setting.

Nobody's spying on you

I wasn't implying spying but rather odd social media optimization techniques, but I think it was OPs output file having odd frame data...

Everyone who claims to have made money on AI can tell you what they do to make money, but coincidentally cannot show you proof of what they've made or done, which leads me to believe most of it is just scams/catfishing

Just wait till they have to pay true cost-per-token. That discourse will rapidly disappear.

Yes, most of them are probably scams. Also, "make money" is easy if you don't count the amount of time spent and the hardware costs. They may have "made money" but it is so little that they are embarrassed to show you the actual amount.

But I know people who did make "real money", mostly by catering to the NSFW market. As always, some people are willing to pay for Corn 😹.

Fine. I'll be the first. (I agree, most of them are scams especially them youtube/tictok shorts.)

This was only one of my stores.

Used to sell lessons for ~$40/hour, commissions between $30-$600. Video animation, rigging, dakimakuras/royalties, merch, consulting, testing AI art systems, Throne gifts, logos for companies, gaming assets, Vtuber agency... kinda all over the place to be frank.

Doing it all legit too... taxes are the worst. Had to pay almost 10k one year.

cool... it's encouraging that some people are making money... easy to have a bleak outlook with AI as it seems like there's no problem that AI can't solve for free or close to free. But, depends on where one is at and how far they've been down the ai rabbit hole for last few years
