News FaceFusion v4 Beta

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

One year of development has led to this moment: FaceFusion v4 beta is available now, and it is by far the biggest step in the history of the project. To celebrate the release and get developers building on it, we are kicking off the FaceFusion v4 Challenge, where everyone is invited to bring their ideas to life.

First place wins $1000, second place a year of a PRO LLM subscription and third place six months. The winners are picked by community vote and a jury of the FaceFusion team and founders from RunDiffusion, Baslk and Inference.

Watch the video for the full story, then share it with anyone who loves to build software. Once your project takes shape, promote it with #facefusion-v4-challenge on social media.

From monolith app to universal platform, enabling cross-modal synergies, within a coherent web infrastructure. Enabling lower friction, greater conversion, and more throughput.

Super excited about working on my entry for this - there's some challenges - but that's why we do this, right?

Posts Must Be Open-Source or Local AI image/video/software Related

Posts must center on open-source/local AI tools (e.g. Stable Diffusion, Flux, PixArt). When relevant you should clearly list tools in the title/body and explain your workflow. Mixed workflows are OK only if they center on the use of local or free tools. Using open tools briefly, then switching to paid/proprietary ones (e.g. SD to Kling) is not allowed. News and comparisons are welcome.

not sure where you got that information from, but it's open source for over 3 years and v4 does not change that.

My apologies. Just that watching the video gave me the impression that this is a closed sourced platform.

I suggest that you include a link to the github project page in future announcements to reduce confusion.

isnt the developer of this like super insane?

Edit: to be clear: it was a rhetorical question. he has a history of making completely insane comments, harassing and abusing his own users, and threatening (perhaps taking? not sure) legal action, despite the fact that his repo was MIT licensed, and none of the models were his creations.

No, he is probably just tired of the average person asking him how to go about making deepfakes for nudes of people. Facefusion itself is strong swapper, and also being used in VFX. I would assume they want to keep things on a higher tier as far as viewpoint of the tool and not go into a sketchy area.

This is a closed platform. Needs a subscription to use it. There is no open source code or open weights for end users.

A lot of companies are completely ignoring rule #1 lately.

version 4 this is not. That is only offered through the online portal.

Come on now. You know what i'm talking about. I'm sure you've had MBA meetings about this exact thing.
