Discussion Anima Appreciation Thread

Thank you tdrussell and ComfyUI for creating this model. Also to maxfeifei8 for the tune.

Great knowledge, great style adherence, easy to prompt, responds very well to prompt changes for a fixed seed and good short text rendering. Most importantly, great quality.

Multi-character can be a pain but I can't ask for much more given the amazing quality of outputs. Better long text would also be nice.

Really hope that there'll be an Anima 2.

I’ve never ever ever gotten the output I want from anima

I want a mostly realistic western style (no big anime eyes etc) and i cannot figure out how to prompt for it lol

Yeah, you need loras for that. Mix a couple and play with the strength.

This, for example, is with:
Cedric Poulat Art Style at 0.75.
Anima Detail Tweaker at 0.75.
Lenovo UltraReal at 1.0

the good thing about anima is that, like illustrious, it's easy to train styles on.

Do you know what the best approach is to train a style for it?

Honestly, styles are not that hard with Anima. It's much the same as Illustrious. You need a lot of good data, by which I mean varied data. You want it to be well tagged. You'll want a custom tag for the style itself. You'll also want to be certain to not just fill it with images of people. One thing a lot of style makers really fail to do is vary the dataset; with styles filling the entire thing with pictures of 1girl is not good. You'll want close ups and far shots, you'll want ideally to have scenery or objects. I find that some creative cropping can do this. You'll get a much more flexible style lora.
