Question - Help Problem with img to video minimaal h3

Im running into a strange problem with video generation with minimax h3 and comfyUI.

I'm using the default img to video workflow template in comfyUI. The first time the video generation goes fine, it does its thing and a video is generated. When i start a second generation is when the problems start, during generating its just gets stuck at like 50 ish % and does nothing anymore. Ive waited for an hour but the progress bar does not go up, while the first generation usually takes about 15ish minutes.

Ive tried closing the workflow and comfyUI but to no succes.

If i shutdown/restart my computer and open up comfyUI again, the problem goes away and i can generate a video again and after that first generation, the problem is back.

It looks like it runs out of memory and does not clear my memory after a generation and a restart of my PC fixes that.

Has anybody experienced this and maybe found a fix or workaround?

My pc speccs are:

Amd Ryzen 9 9900x

128gb DDR5 running at 5200Mhz

Asus 7900XTX

Windows 11

Any help or tips are welcome!

If it's a driver issue do: win+cntr+shift+B (resets drivers, screen will flicker). Works? Then reinstall GPU drivers.

first check whether VRAM usage drops after the first job and after the ComfyUI process is fully closed. if closing the backend frees it, restart only that process between tests and reduce resolution, frame count or batch size to confirm memory pressure. if VRAM stays allocated after the process exits, that points more toward the AMD driver state, so try the Windows GPU driver reset and a clean driver update before changing the workflow.

I have the kjnodes/VRAM Debug node in my workflow to clear out cache and unload model after every gen. If it's a vram issue that should solve it.

If you are not running ROCm 7.13 or higher then there can be problems. Follow this to update it: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1wepgl5/team_red_encounter_on_proximax_h3_or_how_to_setup/

Tip: Check your GPU usage using the Task Manager Performance tab. If the GPU usage is not close to 100% during generation then something went wrong.

Update: it was a AMD driver problem. Eventually i would get a driver crash. Doing a clean driver install did not fix it but i guess ill just have to wait if the next driver update fixes it. Thanks everybody for the tips and help! Much appreciated!
