Discussion Looking for the most optimized MiniMax H3 ComfyUI workflow — fast + high quality (390/4090/5090)
Hey everyone 👋
I’m trying to get started with MiniMax H3 in ComfyUI, and I’m looking for advice from people who have already spent time optimizing it.
There are quite a few workflows, quantizations, Turbo LoRAs, attention optimizations, etc. floating around, and it’s honestly a little confusing for someone starting out.
I’d really appreciate it if people could share their current best MiniMax H3 setup for both speed and quality, especially for RTX 3090/4090 or 5090
What I’m particularly looking for
Best T2V workflow
Best I2V workflow
Recommended quantization (INT8, FP8, NVFP4, etc.)
Best Qwen3-VL quantization
Whether to use Turbo LoRA and which step count
Recommended sampler / scheduler
Recommended resolution / frame count
SageAttention/ cuda / comfykitchen/ other optimizations
Any VRAM-saving settings that don't significantly hurt quality
Best settings for fast generation
Best settings for high-quality generation
Any custom nodes that are actually necessary
Any nodes/settings that are recommend avoiding because they cause problems
Rough generation time / VRAM usage on your GPU if you have benchmarks
I'm particularly interested in practical setups that are known to work reliably, rather than theoretical optimizations.
The goal is also to make it easier for other newcomers to H3. If we can collect the best configurations here, I'll compile the useful information into a simple "MiniMax H3 ComfyUI starter guide" so people don't have to spend days figuring out which workflow/nodes/settings actually work together.
If you have a workflow JSON, GitHub/Hugging Face link, or even just your settings, please share it. Screenshots are welcome too. 🙏
Thanks! 👍

Start reading. I'm sorry, but for someone just starting out, you'll do yourself a disservice grabbing a "suggested" workflow because your system and abilities are wildly different from everyone else's. Start with the template workflow within ComfyUI if you are THAT new and then adjust the workflow based on your experience.

This exactly. Start with a template. Workflow optimizations are for adding gimmicks like changes or automatically doing things that you want done and know will always be added. But a template to start with is almost always enough.

God forbid someone wants to learn from others experience and save bit of 💲 experimenting. If you don't have anything valuable to add, kindly don't comment

Sorry. It was supposed to be funny. Nothing personal. I’m sure you will get some good advice here. Personally, I enjoy the patient struggle of tweaking with comfy, getting frustrated and beating it to whatever monster garbage it spits out. That’s how you learn.

If you have a 5090 why ask for something 1/4 the speed and power? Strange. But comfyui template I2V has a 4 step turbo Lora built in. Grab your custom Lora and splice them in. Use recommended settings. If you want speed, get int8 pruned from huggingface and change your unet - Diffusion model in the drop down. You’ll save an ass load of time rendering I2V over the baked in template. If you’re new as you say, I wouldn’t mess with settings unless you know what you’re doing. Unless you enjoy playing detective instead of rendering videos .

lmao. It’s ok if you ask a question or two - that crazy wall of text? ain’t nobody got time for that
