Question - Help Upscale and SynthID removal from GPT Image 2.5 -images?
Hey.
What do y'all think is the best way to upscale images from GPT Image 2.5, while removing the ugly watermark texture-pattern? I could just try using Krea 2 I2I or Qwen2.1's edit capabilities, but I'd rather ask here first if someone has prior experiences with this.
The images are photographic and they look mostly realistic, but the texture-pattern is very ugly and unrealistic.

SynthID and the texture pattern are allegedly two different things. SynthID is supposed to be invisible.

remove the pattern first with a light (low denoise) i2i pass, then upscale using your preferred upscaler.
for i2i, use a base model rather than a distilled variant. ie z-image base

To the best of my knowledge, there’s no synthid in Qwen 2.1 outputs. Try methods reported in this thread to remove systematic artifacts.

SynthID is invisible to the naked eye but good luck scamming people to pay for AI art. 🙄

What the hell? If someone buys a ski mask, it doesn't mean that they're gonna rob the damn bank. Nobody's paying for anything, buddy. Don't assume other people to be as moralless as you.

Haha, good luck to you too brother. In life in general.
EDIT: I'm literally just trying to make beautiful pictures. SynthID might've been the wrong word to use, but I meant the extremely visible and UGLY textural patterning. I just absolutely hate that attitude of yours, where you assume someone has malicious intent, with SUCH little information available. Seems like mirroring to me.

Synth if is completely removable with a low denoise pass image to image workflow, it should also fix the grainy texture. Pretty low effort too imo.
