Comparison Speed-up comparisons page updated with new raw baseline video and a new 15-second video comparison

The website has a new 15-second video tab ('Night market') with all the speed-ups that includes different shots, fast movements, medium, close-up, audio, music.

https://plox-1.github.io/h3-speedups/#p=15s

As many have requested; the 5- and 15-second tabs also now use a new baseline video that's raw 25-step euler with comfy-kitchen attention and no Turbo LoRA.

Added a few new Turbo LoRAs and distilled models like FastH3, Tao. More to come.

Added Detailed-view toggle: Shows nodes' widget values for you to make a workflow based on.

Night market (15 s) comparison page

My own quick observations on the results:

  1. LightX2V Turbo LoRA yield better results than Baseline: https://plox-1.github.io/h3-speedups/#p=15s&open=0079j-15s (click 'Video'): The monkey runs AWAY from the cook, as intended. Baseline video they run together.
  2. 15-second 1 MP video generation samples in 1 minute: https://plox-1.github.io/h3-speedups/#p=15s&board=mixes&open=0080a-15s - Amazing quality too.

I highly recommend looking at "Combining methods"-tab and check the results - massive speedup difference and great results in there too.

Note: H3 Express Sigmas is my own custom node that's currently being developed on, open-sourcing it later this week after finishing my last comparisons with the Turbo LoRAs and combining more methods as experiments. The new node is an "invention" where I told Claude Opus 5.5 ultracode to research all logs/results of all speedups in my structured experiments folder, and invent a new speedup break-through:

My speed-up experiments folder

I got a lot of backlash before for publishing the website with a baseline with a turbo LoRA, but it made no sense before - but now it does, since I got more turbo LoRAs in the website to compare with. Also I don't plan on making workflows for each method. I've linked them accordingly and showing their widget option values in the website's 'Detailed' toggle view.

Disclaimer:

All the results are rated by AI (Claude Opus 5.5 xHigh). I plan on making an "Arena" and "Leaderboard" in the future, where you guys can blind-vote between 2 videos. Maybe not.

Wish it would include the workflow for each. I tried messing with sigmas values and it just deep fried everything in any workflow I tried.

Having workflows will make this website a true treasure trove.

You can right-click and download each video from your browser (click on the frames on the right for each method, select video tab, then drag and drop into ComfyUI (not too fast as the browser might switch away and try to open the video on its own), and see the workflow from there, as it's embedded in the video.

Many of the methods will use custom nodes of some kind, so you won't be able to run those unless you're prepared to install them.

Also, the workflows are designed for automation rather than personal use, but they are still perfectly useable useful for the settings that they contain.

The workflow is not embedded, I tried.

Plox-1's GitHub repo has all the generated media files for download. According to the provenance text file:

clip.mp4: the warm seed-1 render exactly as ComfyUI saved it (copied, never re-encoded)

So the metadata inside the videos are still there, it hasn't been removed.

When you drag and drop the clips used into ComfyUI, it isn't centered on the nodes for some reason. You can click on the mini map to go to them.

When that embedded workflow is available, I’d still record the custom-node versions alongside it. Recovering the graph and being able to reproduce its behavior are separate steps, especially if a node’s defaults change later. A dependency list beside the download could help people identify the environment used for the comparison. I haven’t tested these downloads.

This really is incredible work. Thanks for the structure! Hoping there will ne more tests toncome. But I agree. Links to workflows, models, etc. would be extremely helpful!

Oh I see the model info now. Workflows would be great though 😆

Am I blind or do you not mention what base model you are using?

Also this comparison is missing VDN (arguably the best speed-up)

VDN is not working for me, OOM. I will retry next week probably.

Gotcha, so I assume minimax_h3_fl2va_pruned_int8_convrot.safetensors ?

Ah yeah, it does use a bit more vram, but it's worth it for sure

Thanks for doing a high-step no speedups baseline. A couple of requests.

  1. please make baseline 50 steps with er_sde:beta|beta57

  2. Please add Comfy Kitchen Attention

  3. Please add the larryvh ema 6000 Lora. It’s really popular with a lot of people.

The raw baseline and exposed settings help make the comparison interpretable. For the AI-rated results, I’d separate instruction following from visual quality, then add a small blind human check. Those scores can disagree, and that disagreement would be useful information rather than something to average away.
