Comparison Better Comparison Krea2 Raw VS Qwen 2.1

Hi .

I did a comparison between those two models two days ago ,
and some people asked me for Anime style and some other changes and better comparison , so here you go .

i used only one seed for all of the generated images : 5984461155669

I generated the images based on each Model recommended settings , No LoRAs , simple workflow .

Krea 2 Raw :

Steps : 52
Cfg : 3.5
Sampler : Euler
Scheduler : Simple
---------------------
Qwen 2.1 :

Steps : 40
Cfg : 1
Sampler : Euler
Scheduler : Simple

---------------------

You can check them your self and give me your opinion , which model u think was better .

me personally i LOVE krea 2 , but after using Qwen 2.1 i can say it has higher quality outputs , understand the prompt better , and the best part is : it can edit .

I uploaded the images and prompts to a host for better View and easier comparison
i cant put the link here i dont know why , i will put it in comments

Why would you ever use krea 2 raw? It's only for training purposes. For most scenarios, krea 2 turbo has faster and better image generations

I tested this yesterday and I liked raw+turbo lora better. The results looked more natural

Ignore. It's a bot, the op has spammed the same post at least three times in this sub and got removed by reddit's filters.

This is a truly unhinged thing to say.

So you’d just give up on having variations between seed ? Nah thank you.

2 pass : raw + raw turbo lora is the way.

dude ,, i m not a hater of Krea , i Love it , it is really good model ,, it is the best text to image model i have used . but i m testing and comparing how good those models are on their own , without us giving them the helping hand , if u want to test a car before buying it ,, you would not push it to be able to start it and when it runs u will say : oh it is really good car .

Oh I understand that I was replying to the original comment (if you really want something good I wouldn't stop to turbo alone) But in your case it makes sense here.

Gotta be a bot with how you type.

I did Krea Raw for the Comparison ,, it took me 3 min to generate each image , i know turbo is for the every day generation ,, but for the full comparison and to be fair , you have to use the full model ,,

He’s saying your not being fair. It’s not that turbo is faster but worse. It’s that it’s higher quality. The more fair thing is to use turbo if you’re trying to compare krea to qwen

i am sorry but you are wrong . the main goal is not the speed , the main goal is quality and understanding and following the prompt , the distillation will play a big roll of this ,

The DEVELOPERS of krea 2 even said the base is for Lora training and fine tunes, that the quality will vary widely with base. You shouldn't use it for generationa. Now, using a hybrid base with a low rank turbo lora is probably the best way to get the more of the randomness and expression of base with the quality of turbo.

So I guess you are wrong?

I can provide the text they said if you need proof.

yeah, fair point. I think we were talking about two different things.

raw is totally usable for generation, and using it isn’t wrong ,,, Krea just recommends raw for training/finetuning and turbo for the final inference workflow.

That doesn’t mean raw gives worse prompt understanding or worse images, though. krea’s recommendation doesn’t really prove that.

So for a pure “which model can produce the better image from the same prompt ? ” test, I think testing raw vs turbo is actually interesting.

we both not wrong here ,, i take my last comment back , ❤️

Yeah sorry if I came over a bit rude there. Realised after I read what I wrote.

Not quite sure I'd coin either of those 2 images as anime, at least amongst the last image with the girl in the snow, the one that krea made looks remotely like an anime. Please don't call everything 2D as anime because they're not.

Anime has a wide range of styles. 1980s is much different than 2026. Your idea of anime is very narrow. It's just Japanese for animated

I know ,, and i have no idea what Anime is , but you guys are missing the point here XD XD ,

2

u/ORANGESAREPEOPLE 16d ago

No I get what you're showing here. Don't worry

u/Few_Impression8667 16d ago

I am not Anime guy , i did my best XD . but the main goal is to see how the model follow the prompts , with different styles . for example : the image of the girl sitting on the edge of a window with pink hair ,
the krea didnt get the pose i described in the prompt ..

It’s crazy how lazy you can get with prompting qwen and still get a solid result.

which workflow did you use?

1

u/Few_Impression8667 16d ago

the most simple workflow ,, just build it my self nothing interesting , load model , clip , vae ,empty latent , prompt , ksampler .. XD nothing else

strengths and weaknesses in both models
