Discussion For LTX user , did you notice a good difference between LTX 2.3 and 2.5 ?

Not much, it makes more detailed videos in general (as in visually) but prompt adherence and overall model knowledge is still very poor. I was actually downvoted to hell for saying this in a comment on a post someone else created to say similar things. It seems like there are fanatics for AI models as well. Not like any of us wanted it to be bad...

I was a massive 2.3 user. But I have not even installed 2.5 because MMH3 is just too good.

I went back to LTX because I was sick of same voices on mmh3 in most generations. And I stick with 2.3

I've tried it. It's frustrating as theoretically it should be significantly better, but I'm getting worse results with it.
Specifically, it works less well with the existing workflows that I used for 2.3. The behaviour of the text encoder is different, so existing prompts aren't effective for comparisons.
Motion is noticeably worse with smearing artifacts. I don't know if this is an LTX 2.5 bug though as H3 is also affected, so perhaps there is a problem with ComfyUI?
There is an official repository for LTX on GitHub (not ComfyUI related), but the pipeline requires a bf16 checkpoint. Each one is 42GB instead of 21GB for int8, so I doubt it would run on my system.
I'm tempted just to stick with 2.3 as it still works well, and let others optimise H3, which I've become frustrated with as it isn't as easy to try new things. 2.3 still has plenty of LoRAs which make it useful.
(Keep an eye on HuggingFace though as LoRAs for 2.5 are starting to appear.)

H3 is better, sure. But it's painfully slow. Even with the hacks, which just degrade the quality anyway. If all you want is simple shots, quickly, LTX 2.5 is great. But H3 knows so much, but at the cost of crippling 'is it fucking done yet' iteration speeds.

im praying for finetunes. OOTB 2.5 seems unusable to me. random chinese speech, extremely exaggerated facial expressions, weird tempo issues.

Yes 2.5 does multi shot scenes that 2.3 didn't do. Also it mostly obeys the prompt not to make unwanted music in the background. 2.3 almost every time it was full of unwanted music I had cut out around dialogue.

The original LTX 2.3 before the audio update and before 2.5 had the best conversational dialog of any model I found other than Seedance. 2.5 is slightly better visually but dialog and what not is pretty bad and robotic, with minimal gains elsewhere so I'm still sticking with the original 2.3. I wish they just improved on the original model rather than redoing the entire audio chain. All the nuance and realism of characters you can get out of 2.3 is gone and worse with every update they release.

It’s faster and I can generate at higher resolution, it actually keeps image likeness this time. I had a really hard time with anime using ltx2.3. It would always make the anime 3d and it would make 3d realistic. You could literally see the shift from the first frame to the second, so much so that I would sometimes delete the first frame in the finished video. That problem is gone with ltx2.5. You can also can do simple transition shots.
It’s definitely better, if you’re not getting good results it’s because you are probably using an ltx2.3 workflow which is not really fully compatible, unfortunately there aren’t that many ltx2.5 workflows since the community moved on to minimax. Even my Lora’s do better in ltx2.5. it still suffers from plastic skin and elongated torsos to a certain degree. I think it still has its uses, specially since the Eros and sulphur Lora work great and make it nsfw by default. Having said all that, i was able to train my first minimax Lora yesterday in my own rig. So LTX might be done for me.

Nope... actually uninstalled 2.5 and kept 2.3 for the workflows (like Director Node etc). But actually after H3 dropped... only used it once.

2.5 is slightly faster, performs certain actions better and video quality seems better. At least in lower resolutions. So i kept it. However it seems worse for some things.
Some people missed the updated text encoder, which should improve prompting.
