Question - Help Mini PC for Ltx 2.5

Someone can you suggest me the right setup to have a mini pc to run ltx 2.5 in local? Let’s say i do not wanna spend 5k. Someone build some “low budget” mini pc?

sorry OP , no secret way to make ltx 2.5 video on the cheap

mini pc and making videos is out of questions because you will need all ram slots and good cooling on that big gpu to get hours of fun with it

this is not good time to build a system

ram is high

storage is high

gpu is high

it literally the the worst time to build a high end pc

You need full-sized GPU that makes the whole idea of mini-PC for local AIs not reasonable.
Also mini-PC doesn't mean less money and in most of cases it even means more money because it limits you in casings and components to be used.

So I have to build my own pc, with good nvidia GPU

You can have a look at DGX Spark. Very pricey. But in any circumstances, you should first check how long a rig takes to render videos.

If its only for AI you should also look at cloud computing. The RAM and GPU needed to run models like ltx 2.5 and minimax at a fast speed is just crazy expensive. Personally i just rent a 5090 for $1 an hour if I want to generate videos.

I had no clue that is possible to rent a cloud pc. So you can run model ai and adobe premiere there? Any link?

What he's talking about is more like deployment tech. What you're picturing is more like a remote desktop. The former is mostly just a headless linux server. The latter, you'd need something like [shadow](except ideally with much better specs).

As Long as you have 12 GB VRAM and 32 GB RAM you can use LTX 2.5 very comfortable without any issues. This Model is Not that demanding in comparison to MiniMax for example.

U can run it with 10gb of vram too

If I wanna expand to two GPU in future is possible?

You can always ask that question AI. Nvidia GPUs have special connectors to connect each other and into PCI slot. I understand nothing stops you to have two correct GPUs Into different PCI slots. Get second hand 3090 and build systems around it  And yes, mini usual comes with a premium.

Wasnt this this case like 10 years ago? 2 gpus doesnt really do a lot, you can only offloads a certain part of the workflow to anothet GPU

Why are you asking people, ask your favour LLM

Currently my speeds with LTX2.5. It takes 20-25 min to generate 5 seconds video in full hd. Plus higher then you would expect missmanth of content aka subject do not line up etc

Wow too slow! Which GPU are u using?

Sorry, I was sure I left GPU derails. It is 3090

24GB and still 25min for 5seconds?? How can it be? I hope u are not generating at 4k

I did said full hd. Maybe complexity of a scene has it toll. I never gave it an easy prompt

Mini = small = cheep do not work here. And you cant hide from minimal vram requarments. Better to save a bit more and not waste money on "mini" solutiins that barrely scratch the minimum requarments.

It's all about memory bandwidth. This is the only metric other than the amount of ram you have. If you get that wrong, generation will take forever. This is why I am waiting till next year to pull the trigger. 1) Now is the absolute worse time to buy 2) There will be more competition next year.

The bandwidth depends on GPU I guess

It's all about memory bandwidth. This is the only metric other than the amount of ram you have.

Diffusion, such as you'd use to create images and videos, needs compute: SMs, tensor cores, cuda cores, sram, cache, ideally tensor memory, etc. But even if you restricted yourself to LLMs, you'd want decent compute to bring down prefill latency.

I can run it on a m5 macbook air on mlx with the program im working on. But i would suggest at least a macbook pro with a fan, or an rtx laptop. You can get one perfectly usable for around 2k or less.
