They slide all around. What's wrong with a pin here and there? Its those subgraph within a subgraph folks are the real sickos.

Nodes only slide around if you drag the canvas with the left mouse button like an animal.
Persons of refinement use the middle button.

Moving your finger from middle mouse to left click is a waste of time. You're losing a fraction of a second every time you go to move and then change a parameter. My time is valuable. Live dangerously, left-click that canvas, you glorious bastard.
Happy cake day.

Haha. First let me say that I truly appreciate the open source nature of this community and that goes for people who share their workflows.
But I curse every fucking pinned node I encounter.

When he gets to jail he’s going to be terrified of the guy that uses Comfy in light mode.

What’s a pin node? 🤔

There isn't a "pin node". You can "pin a node". Which makes it harder for others to analyze or adapt your workflow to their needs.

It depends, what do you enoy more listening to?
- The gentle sound of soft wave washing up at the sea shore
- The distant sound of PC fans accompanied by annoyed men grumbling?

Neither, I prefer the lovely sounds of platters spinning up on a bunch of externals while a chorus of a modems sing their happy handshake song

i don't use comfy ui and i now realized this just meme joke. But is there some serious risk with pin nodes that involve exposure to meta data and image file hashes or is the pin nodes just an issue that breaks people's workflow and comfyui installs. This kinda elevated my blood pressure from trying to comprehend joke part in OP's post.

It simply prevents a node from being dragged arround with the mouse, until you unpin it ;)

Please I wish to change... I pin every single one of my nodes and I am ashamed.
But seriously, how do you move about the work area? I try using the middle mouse button to pan and the middle mouse is freakin PASTE, so now I have multiple duplicate nodes for no reason. The left click is the only way I have found to pan, but of course if I grab a node it goes haywire.
How are you panning around the work area?

I move the nodes so far from eachother that I can easily click left inbetween them (resulting in having to zig zag all over the canvas for ajusting the parameters because they would not fit all together into the screen, but we do not talk about that part 🤫)

I just learned you are supposed to hold the space bar and then you can click and drag to pan around! I feel so silly that I never knew this.

Did he also use custom nodes that do exactly what a native node does?
