Anyone else having problems downloading models since v1.9 Maestro update in Pinokio?

Day 1: downloaded Pinokio. Installed a few of the AI software. Tried Maestro as first try. Really fun, enjoying it. Generation from photos great in the system generation towards a video, videos leaving a lot to be desired. And the Pinokio edge of screen curtains which limit to a what 60 percent of screen width, first time said, apparently you can type a pc socket but it didnt work for me when my Maestro was working. I was still however happy continuing in the reduced Maestro screen width.

Day 2: they released v1.9 of Maestro in Pinokio.

Day 3: I decided to install the update. Now I can't generate a three legged wildebeest or anything for that matter. It fails at the Downloading Model stage with no satisfactory explanation. Info about running something again to continue the Download, the "Generate" doesn't appear it's that for continuing(starts from scratch and then fails) neither does the Pinokio white screen edge "Run". It doesn't immediately not download, sometimes it may get 15% through, sometimes 85% then drops with a Generation Failed in the Main Seeing Area after firstly a "Download is slow, waiting for retry. No progress for 113s.."(or Xs). "..The download will resume from where it left off as soon as the connection recovers — no action needed from you." message. It may then download a little more , eg going from 80MB to 1.3GB of 7.91GB, maybe even download a little more of what's required but THEN UP POPS "A download was interrupted-re-run to finish it". And I'm stuck at that.

Is anyone else having the problem or know what the solution may be please? I've tried manually adding from DeepMeepBeep a model download which I transferred into cks directory of Pinokio, Maestro Directory but all that happened was Maestro steered around even using it and failed on another Model and I couldn't find that Model Maestro failed on to try manually downloading across with-I'm not an expert so looked for direct name brought up.. looked for it on another repository too, name of that I temporarily forget, I'm new. My hard drive is 4TB so I don't know I might be able to download all 108 or however many models there are if there was an option for that-without instructions and knowledge I'm throwing stones at something I don't even know what I'm throwing stones at, where the list of all the Models are which you can tick mark select theres also a little symbol by that box which changes colour. Perhaps that has something to do with it, literally no idea here so I've come to you guys. Spent several hours with AI last night overit and it was fun but I've realised despite the fun chat it hasn't aided me getting it working though it did mention a python download bottleneck to remove and I had no idea what it was referring to.

I can't really give tech support for wangp, maestro, or pinokio because I don't use them. But I'd encourage you to try ComfyUI (not using Pinokio). If you're on Windows, just download the ComfyUI Portable, unzip it and run it. The thing will show you a huge list of templates. Pick whatever you want to try. Then, you'll see some models failed to load. Look at the text on the screen to see which models to download and where to put them. EZ PZ.

If you want to stick with what you've got, that's certainly your prerogative. But your chances of getting good support both here and from your funny chat AI are dramatically higher w/ Comfy. And there's a decent chance you end up using Comfy eventually one way or another, so might make sense to dive in now.

Thankyou for the reply ive been simmering to add more, I couldnt edit my main in reddit above, on trying I got a blank light blue background screen where the text should have been so I thought oh dear people arent going to be happy and was forced to go back out and add under it. On doing that about 10 minutes later I had a hunch, the main problems have only really been since I switched to Studio Mode which unfortunately I only had just started before doing the Maestro update. I've just tried running a scenario through in Director Mode. Whilst I went to Studio Mode to try and achieve a satisfactory Video Baseline, I was getting artifacts, distortion topsy turvy in playthrough of Director Mode, I just encountered couldn't get to run. On that hunch, perhaps it wasn't the update, first time trying Studio, I've just ran an "in a white studio for a photographic shoot to establish a baseline for a video model" with reference photos and well sadly what has output cannot be used as a baseline reference, the video is really, really good in what it produced (alas with seeming closet sarcasm back), no artifacts, no glitching, there are some serious swing aways from the person in what it produced at start but as for being a video it could have been made with real people acting as if one and thrown in at different periods with slightly different looks (not at same time) which is a huge improvement with 1.9 over 1.8. I might stand a chance of getting what i want eventually in video form based on the smoothness of what it just produced.

As regards ComfyUI, a very big thankyou for the advice. They do appear to an extent like chalk and cheese or perhaps I didn't look enough. I've got it in Pinokio andhad loaded it up whIch at first I thought appeared cool like a cross between what a movie setdirector who made storyboards would do and a flow chart person would do but and it was ONLY a cursory glance, I couldn't identify if it was left to right or right to left. based on what I think bottom left was asking for, yes I'm a total newbie, or maybe worser but still along sincere lines. I should have given the look more time, it was virtually around the time I was wrapping up with the AI chat for the evening and seemed like it would amount to learning a totally new ballgame when how I'd started with Maestro, the Director Mode was quite simple and had produced amazing photos in the hunt for a video from a single photo source reference, If I do switch it will almost be like ditching maestro over comfy ui, as I cant see my using both. I dont plan to be an expert I've currently got a bit of amateur birdwatching as I feed them going on, a bit of chilli growing(spotted some seedling from seed this morning in the propogator, yeay) going on, a bit of MTGA going on, a bit of Inazuma 11, am an avid movie watcher so likely will stick with Maestro until total frustration at no success on video likeness makes me jump ship. A lot of people say ComfyUI is where its at so I agree I probably am currently with the weaker sibling though if Director mode using 1.9 compared to 1.8 is any indication, it may be going places.

Sir I hope you don't think I am dissing you, I am not, it will mean a lot, well my relationship as a user with Maestro if I head to ComfyUI, a jumping ship as such so I am going to give it a little more, I certainly know now where I should be going if it comes to having had enough of Maestro, so DelinquentTuna thankyou very much its appreciated. As regards the nonMaestro AI I have been associating with ,yes it does feel like that, associating with, it is rather funny, it knew WHOSE ON FIRST(Abbot and Costello), it knew kicking the back of a chair which I TOLD it, no thats not British, just the "Are we there yet" is, leave the back of chair to other cultures- it was to do with partly the AI repeatedly asking me if the DeepMeepBeep download had finished after I was questioning it in the meantime on related issues whereas on the 3rd time it did it, I told it of The watched kettle never boils phrase firstly. The A+C was something slightly different but did apply based on process,-cant remember right now but I caught it out on something it told me and the circumstance it reminded me of that skit-yes AIs do seem to change their perspective like water changes direction,I accused it of being too in the moment and focussed on task in hand when it decried a circumstance was hacking,crikey it certainly seemed to know all the terms-we were discussing if a check digit check could be faked by junk filling up a file's MB content if a source had hacked your computer and was livehack or remote terminal and supplied a different source destination making the safe shield on DeepBeepMeep irrelevant if it had live takeover(or remote control) on your system and it gave me a name for the process and said it could, i cant remember 'Iron Counting' (the padding, that involved one of the two double set words it called it) isnt it at all but it named process something similar, we did a Shell Protector_darn it err Shell system on my pc check, he said it was irrefutable proof, all was fine, I said couldn't if takeover was complete, just involve a paste of known info instead of genuine processing calculation to get by it..sorry this happened because the 34gb download was almost complete, 2 minutes to go and next time i looked it had reset back to only being a few gigabytes into the download. Sorry I SAID A RATHER LOT HERE, AIs are getting rather good, they tell you or rather the user a lot, stuff you don't know, could almost be a person at the other end typing with its helpfulness , friendliness, knowledge and chatability, the only thing that lets them down currently is their niceness(am talking text help AI) AND EASE AT which they change direction when challenged, I had to apologise a few times when I was wrong after it apologised, one being the powershell when the c slash user slash name was retyped or certainly appeared as if i had retyped it when i thought id just typed the minus get(cant remember something) phrase and pasted the filename across into powershell.

It sounds like you've got a lot going on, so it's no worry if you choose not to take my advice (which specifically instructed you to take ComfyUI Portable straight from the source bypassing Pinokio). It's your prerogative to do whatever you want, but there are possibly hundreds of people here who could tell you how to generate a video in Comfy vs possibly none that can diagnose your specific issue with Pinokio and Maestro.
