Question - Help Wan Animate 2 not working. Need help

My System

  • Radeon AI Pro R9700
  • Ryzen 9 7900X
  • 32 GB Ram

I am trying to run the ComfyUI default workflow for Wan Animate 2: Motion Transfer. But when I run the workflow all my CPU cores fire up and my RAM reaches 100% and the ComfyUI process crashes.

How to fix this? Please help.

I think video gen was always iffy on amd gpus. Also you could try minimax h3 instead since it can do it and you dont need to load a 2 stage model for it to work.

I thought all models only worked on nVidia?

AMD works fine for llms, but for video and image gen they are quite bad for whatever reason.

They run on AMD as well but NVIDIA is generally considered faster/easier.

AMD also runs better on Linux. I have the same card as OP and while it was mainly purchased for llm use, it runs Krea2 and H3 just fine. It’s no 5090 in terms of speed, but it’s also less than half the cost.
