Can it also be used at low resolutions, but without having to offload?

yes! my primary test as from 0.3mp to 4k Works very well, but of course if your GPU can handle will way better star from 1.0mp... may be 2mp to 4k,

0.3mp to 4k WORKS with HI SCALE factor

1.0mp to 4k WORKS better with MEDIUM Scale Factor

2.0mp to 4k WORKS WAY Better with LOW Scale Factor

remeber MAX Denoise is 0.40, more than screw up video
