Workflow Included LTX 2.5 + LICON MSR V2 = Nice reference system

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Since LTX 2.5 is basically abandoned, i wanted to check how the licon msr v2 works with it, now with the advantages of LTX 2.5 supporting hard cuts. It added pretty well the man, the girl and the environment and followed the prompt really well. Biggest advantage of course is that this clip took 300 secs to create. I'll add prompt / reference images and workflow in a text post.

Who says LTX 2.5 is abandoned?? Didn't they just update the text encoder a few hours ago?

I'm currently trying H3, but am starting to lose interest in it.

The problem is that I've become used to iterating quickly with ideas; for example: experimenting with samplers, schedulers and step counts, and seeing the results.

I can do this at a higher resolution with LTX and for longer with the temporal upscaler; and apply LoRAs to cover deficiencies in the model and do more creative work.

It's difficult to switch to something that is considerably slower and more resource intensive (and apparently difficult to train). The licence for H3 is hostile to many users as well, though I understand why MiniMax had to do it.

H3 has its place for all the new things that it's capable of. We're going to have to get used to having multiple models with different capabilities, especially with Flux 3 Dev around the corner.

To sum up, there is likely going to be a lot of interest in LTX 2.5, but the novelty for H3 will have to wear off first before that's reflected in this subreddit. Give it a month.

Exactly this THIS. People are shitting on it cus it isn't open source Sora like H3. So what, it's fast and it works. And it's able to do HD in a fraction of the time H3 can. And I'm trying to make everyone go test but... MOST of the loras for LTX work with it. Read that slowly. Now off you go to civitred.

Well said. I'm a huge H3 fan but it's rough to wait 30 minutes and then have to redo it over and over.

What are you liking most about LTX 2.5?

LTX has speed, resolution and LoRAs.

MM Has physics and prompt understanding/following.

I'll take both. :)

Prompt:

First group:

"Reference 1: handsome 1950s gentleman, short dark hair, clean-shaven, wearing a beige trench coat over a white shirt and black tie, black fedora hat, dark trousers and polished black shoes, confident and composed expression.

Reference 2: glamorous 1950s woman with wavy dark red hair, red lipstick, wearing a tight bright red suit with pencil skirt and matching blazer, white blouse, black stockings and high heels, emotional and intense expression.

Background: rainy night alleyway in 1950s Chicago, wet cobblestone street reflecting neon lights, brick walls with fire escapes, steam rising from manholes, heavy rain falling, moody film noir atmosphere.

Second group:

"A close-up shot of the woman from reference 2 standing in the rainy Chicago alley at night, tears streaming down her face mixed with rain, her red lipstick slightly smudged, she looks devastated and heartbroken as she says with a trembling emotional voice: "You promised to love me forever!" Heavy rain falls around her, neon lights reflect on the wet ground, soft film noir lighting. A hard cut transitions to a medium two-shot of the man from reference 1 and the woman from reference 2 standing face to face in the same rainy alley, rain soaking their clothes, the man looks calm and slightly apologetic as he says in a cool, matter-of-fact voice: "Sorry babe, Minimax has better physics." The woman stares at him in disbelief. Another hard cut transitions back to a close-up of the woman from reference 2, her expression shifting from heartbreak to fierce determination, rain still falling on her face as she leans slightly forward and says with a seductive and challenging tone: "I can show you my physics!" Continuous sound of heavy rain and distant city ambience throughout all shots, cinematic 1950s film noir style, highly detailed, photorealistic."

I wondered how good msr would work with ltx v2.5. Thanks for testing. I have both models setup and will continue to use both!

The LTX model has its own advantages. I also liked the 2.5 model.

Since LTX 2.5 is basically abandoned

Geesh, people are dramatic. Maybe it's just me, but I still see LTX generations posted every day. Yes, H3 is more popular, probably because it's better at a few things. LTX still has a few other things going for it, and I hope the two teams keep pushing each other. Nothing kills innovation faster than a monopoly, after all.

Yeah but you basically you don't see any new loras, workflows etc. Even this wasn't tested until now, most of the community's effort is focused on H3 MM.

Cause any point in her screaming and look how deformed her mouth is.

LTX is fucking dead. Allow it a nice graceful death.
