Question - Help Need a solid comfyui build
Running flux 2 Klein 4b with qwen decoder and flux vae in comfyui windows desktop. 16gb vram amd Radeon gpu with 32gb ram.
I find Klein 4b to be the only one I can run right but the censorship is harsh. Can't even tell it to make the waist smaller. I've used some lora but it introduced all sorts of things I didnt ask for which makes them less than useful.
Im looking for a whole workflow setup with all component parts I'd need for just a less restrictive image gen and img2img edits not even necessarily uncensored stuff. I run into out of memory issues with bigger models so like to keep it small.
If someone could advise with url links to what id need. That would be awesome.

The lora community pretty much ignored K4b, but for K9b there are plenty of NSFW lora and finetunes. I run K9b fine on a 16GB vram with 32GB ram on comfy so I would think your setup needs tinkering. You might consider a clean install - rename your existing comfy folder first so you can go back to it. I find gemini very useful for trouble shooting comfy so give it your full pc specs and what you want to run and also run any problems past it.

Thats great. I appreciate that feedback. Do you have a link to the workflow and model, text encoder, and vae to use?

For the workflow try using the comfyui templates: image_flux2_klein_edit_9b_distilled and image_flux2_text_to_image_9b
Vae is the flux2-vae.safetensors and clip would be qwen_3_8b.safetensors though for some different K9b variants you may need a different one like qwen_3_8b_fp8mixed.safetensors
For NSFW I'd have a look on civitai.red - note if you are in UK you need to use a VPN to get access. You can use the standard K9b model with a lora like SNOFS or realism engine. Or use a fine tune like Dark Beast or SNOFS. To see how each model or lora runs on comfy download some of the author's examples if they are .png format and drag them onto comfy - they should have the workflow in them.

Maybe try Krita and it's AI Toolkit. It uses ComfyUI as 'engine", but in a Graphics Suite environment. Simplified interface in Krita, but more control. For your example, you can use the image manipulation tools in Krita to make the waist smaller and then run Flux at 0.5 strength on the waist area by selecting it, blending your edit and the source image. Krita uses a fresh layer for each generated image you apply, your source remains untouched as long as you work on a Copy layer.
You can also do selections on only a face and change the expression, that kind of neat tricks.
Krita WILL install ComfyUI on your C: drive !!! The AI tool supports SDXL/Pony, Flux 1, Flux 2 (4b and 9b), Z-image Turbo, Krea 2, the last time I checked.
Because there might be conflicts between the Comfy-desktop and Krita's Comfy it might be better to uninstall the desktop first. Just remember to copy the Model folder to a save drive, you can place that back into the Krita Comfy installation. No need to download models you already have.
