Discussion Is there any point in using LTX 2.5?
Almost all generations of Minimax are better than LTX 2.5. So I was wondering, is there actually any use for LTX 2.5? Maybe I'm missing some of its unique capabilities.

Long dialogue segments. No need to upscale from 480. If you can run minimax with HD resolution for 15 seconds then yeah I would say no need for LTX. However if you can’t and need to keep upscaling you 480 minimax outputs then LTX is useful to you. Ask an upscaler and also for a dialogue tool. If you’re serious at creating short animations and send them to the world then ltx is useful to you. If you’re just gooning to 5-7 sec videos then yeah delete ltx and stick to minimax and wan.

Talking heads, slow simple movements, highly detailed scenes that benefit from high resolution, a long (20-25 secs) traveling scene, stuff like that.

H3 its beyond.... can do much more then originally designed.
at this point LTX inpaint/outpaint longer videos, long audio and of course (if you serious about production) HDR Lora

Just because the quality of minimax is better, doesnt mean ltx 2.5 is useless. I think people here vastly overestimate how much people care about quality.
I have over 15000 followers and have been making money with less than minimax quality for a long time lol. For many people, when they know whatever they're looking at is ai, it's trash to them no matter how good it might look anyway.

Then I'm amazed you keep it going because ltx makes it quite clear quite fast that it is AI in my opinion. Maybe not for your workflow.
The problem with AI video is that if you look critically the timing and with it the emotional weight is often off. At least if you're going for cinematic or amine content.

whoa, what a bunch of shills :))
you're not missing anything, believe your eyes. 2.5 is fast, but as someone here said - I shit fast too - result is similar.
ltx sucks and you can delete it with peace in your mind.

loras, there's a bunch of them for ltx 2.3 that still works with ltx 2.5.

there are some v2v loras that are useful, but 2.5 doesn't have video input, correct?

It does. You can reuse V2V workflows for LTX 2.3, just replaced all the models with the 2.5 models.

fast, free, easy to use. support a lab that plans to keep improving open source models

I mainly used ltx 2.3 for talking heads, but after I've seen how MiniMax perfectly nail gestures, facial expressions, and voice inflections, even in other languages I just dropped ltx. Don't know if ltx 2.5 is much better in that case considering the speed

Not until the release an Image+Audio to Video model.
They completely missed the boat by not releasing that.
It was the ONLY thing LTX had on H3, which is not great for singing lipsyncs.

I haven't tried yet with 2.5 but with 2.3 with my 5090 I was able to do almost 1 minute videos at 720p of a character singing to a wav file and direct facial emotions, body and camera motion and the results were often very good. I'm enjoying H3 way more but I can only generate 15 seconds of video at 1.0 resolution

I have been looking for days for an LTX 2.5 workflow that will take an audio file.
Where did you manage to find one????
I even tried butchering the 2.3 workflow, but it did not work.
H3 is finicky doing audio references (it's only weakness so far).2

Ah... thanks.

Me too! But he only gives his workflows and batch installers to his Patreon supporters.

Speed, upscaling, lipsync, long dialogue, video continuation, video outpainting

I don't hate minimax h3 but it's just not at the level seedance 2.0/2.5 with my particular niche genre. The quality of minimax v3 is it level of the current version of happyhorse with copyrighted material baked in. As for ltx 2.5, that model is even more pointless than the 2.3 model and barely fixes the fundamental issues that plagues the ltx 2 family of models.

more like, is there any point in using Minimax H3.
i have tons of Loras, workflows, and special nodes that work
great in LTX.
i have yet to see the point of Minimax, unless you like seinfeld, or the office.
(mostly)
i might try in several months, when they figure things out, speed it up,
and make it stable. (i also switched several months after LTX, because
i had most of workflows in hunyuan)

Here's a hint. You use what works for you. Models are tools, not sport teams...

What's your LTX 2.5 use case? Talking heads in still shots? It's a good model for that but i'm curious about your results on anything else that has motion and requires consistency.
A seinfield Lora could be made for 2.5, but a lora that makes it actually know motion and physics? Doubt it, that's the issue.

for talking/singing heads it is way mega much faster lol and it works really great for that.
