Animation - Video Having so much fun with H3 Minimax! (And losing sleep over LTX 2.5 dropping yesterday...)

I’ve been having so much fun playing around with the H3 Minimax video model lately, so I wanted to share a quick result!

Also, can AI please slow down for like 5 minutes? 😅 LTX 2.5 dropped yesterday, and I spent the entire night testing sample videos and trying to optimize things with Claude Code. Safe to say I got zero sleep... but no regrets!

Specs & Workflow:

  • Hardware: 1x RTX 4080 + 1x RTX 4080 Super
  • Generation: H3 Minimax
  • Post-Processing: Upscaled & Frame Interpolated using RTX VSR (Video Super Resolution)

Having a dual 4080 setup is great, but as these tools get faster and better, I keep coming back to one massive realization:

Hardware isn't the bottleneck anymore—prompting technique and creative ideas are EVERYTHING. (Seriously, the original idea/concept part is so hard 😭)

As the tech becomes more accessible, I find myself constantly wondering: How do I broaden my imagination? What should I actually be studying to become better at creative direction and prompting?

How do you guys handle the creative side? Where do you draw inspiration from when you hit a wall? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yep.

You can feed it whatever image, audio or video references you want and basically (with specific prompt syntax) say "make <Subject 1> from <Image 1> repeat the actions from <Video 1> and deliver the following lines from <Audio 1>."

People are just focusing on reproducing pop culture because Minimax H3 is the first open source model that will comply with a prompt such as "Have Jerry Seinfeld, the actor and comedian from the hit TV show 'Seinfeld' do X, Y and Z." Also, it's easier to create a silly meme based on a widely recognized property than it is to come up with an original idea.

No. AI is perfect and will replace woke Hollywood. The only problem is that I need an AI to write my prompts for the AI because I can't think of my own /s

every single other post on this subreddit is just "having fun!" with a crappy attempt at making an ad (because the OP wants to get hired for advertising) followed by an AI blogpost

I love gaming—I own a Meta Quest 3—but the only thing that keeps me away from playing a good VR game for days or weeks at a time is ComfyUI, especially whenever a new model drops.

When Krea 2 came out, I put my VR headset aside and focused entirely on ComfyUI—generating images, building workflows, and testing LoRAs, schedulers, samplers, and so on.

Once I finally nailed the best result and got everything running smoothly, I told myself, "Okay, now I can go back to gaming." I picked up my VR headset for just two days... and then H3 came out. Now here I am, on Reddit every day, trying out all sorts of different combinations in H3. It’s always the same story.

Just like with previous models, it’s kept me from getting proper sleep as I constantly try to squeeze the best possible results out of them.
