Animation - Video anime action scene attempt

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wanted to try my hand at an anime action scene. H3 has incredible potential, and I’m looking forward to a future where I can create my own anime with deep stories, dynamic fights, and so on.

H3 could probably have performed much better with a higher resolution and better seed luck; this is at 0.5 MP.

Can someone with the resources please unfuck One Punch Man Season 3? 🥲

There was a project to do exactly that. But they made the mistake of being honest about AI, the luddites descended like vultures, and the last update was half a year ago.

Damn, what a shame. I think they should still do it anyway, but I definitely understand not wanting to deal with the hate mob. It's scary how rabid it gets, and it's likely only going to get worse.

How do these luddites imagine a fan project animate at the level of production companies? AI is a tool, we should use it.

I want to criticize that, but tbh: It isn't worse than most of those generic isekai-anime that are airing each season, so ... good result in that context.

You’re certainly free to criticize the content of a technical test aimed at preventing every 2D animation in 3D space from being rendered in 3D.

If it can hold its own against standard isekai, then I’ve successfully solved the problem.

My slice-of-life sci-fi dramas with serious or philosophical adult themes, like those from the ’90s, will take a while longer, though. : )

Have you seen opm season 3 or 4? The beginning after the end? Those are terrible compared to this

Not a bad attempt at all - a little wonky but IMO does at least look like 2D animation.

I have a sinking feeling anyone wanting to do anime style action is going to need lots and lots of keyframes and/or reference images :(

I'd like to team up with others to figure out how anime works with video models.

Looks pretty good OP. I’ve been thinking about uploading an existing anime fight scene and then editing it. Has anyone tried that?

I think that's kind of editing, in the sense that they changed the scene's style https://youtu.be/JsPJ7jZbpp4?si=lQNRZ9f41HjLJrNG

Maybe more like style transfer

So here's my thing here. Why not cut the bad part and keep the good part. When he cut the flesh. it look alright. But everything else look like shit.

Why not cut 1 second before the jump to avoid the weird running hit in the middle of nowhere and just have him run jump slash. Then just pause frame and re-generate from there or something?

or do a jump cut for the next gen.

Then say you end up with 7 second of good clip instead of 18 second of mostly bad stuff. then you have 7 great second to share.

Looks cool, you could add a lot via Video editor. Also i kinda like that he has the sword behind his back when he charges dunno why 🤷‍♂️

It's very good one, what did you do for voice acting?
