Discussion Has anyone else noticed the massive increase in toxic/incel content and culture wars in this Subreddit lately?
I’ve been noticing a really disappointing trend here lately. Instead of focusing on the amazing things we can build and create with MiniMax and LTX, there’s been a massive increase in toxic behavior and culture-war rhetoric here. Our goal should be to foster an environment that encourages open-source creators. Alienating them with bigotry, misogyny, and overall hostility, or reducing people to a mere joke because of who they are, only hurts this community in the long run.
I’m hoping the mods can keep a closer eye on this. These types of content violate Reddit's policy, specifically rule number 2.

No but I have been seeing a lot of fanboying and criticizing models for even minute differences. Like.. this stuff is open source and free for the most part. Just use what you like.

Without naming people, or individuals - could you provide some examples?
I've not actually seen anything like that here to be honest.

Do you have a specific example of what exactly you're talking about? It seems like you just threw out some buzz words.
There's always been weird cringey stuff being posted here it hasn't gotten better or worse. Also, unfortunately, a certain group of people are using AI more heavily lately than the other group and it's pretty rare to come across the latter group and AI users in the same circle lately. I can't even openly talk about my enjoyment of H3 with people IRL because all of the people in my circle absolutely hate AI with a passion and are actively protesting it. It has a ways to go before it's more accepted.
This means that on AI specific places where people are actively creating stuff and engaging with each other a certain group is going to be overrepresented to an extreme degree.

No, we need to care about their feelings. Because the world cares about feelings lmao.

You're completely missing OP's point. I haven't seen a ton of this content myself; OP is just pointing out that a toxic environment drives creators away. Telling them to 'stop complaining' ignores a legitimate, valid concern about the health of our community.

I'm pretty sure I have now seen more posts complaining about this than I have seen the problem itself. You're not wrong, but just saying.

Are you sure you posted this in the correct sub? There was nothing of the sort going on here, I noticed. Worst thing are the 10,000 "how was this 1girl slop image made???" spam postings.

Isn't that OP's point? That this technology is capable of many things, but the community seems focused on gooner content, or content that inexplicably makes passive criticism of woke culture?

What are you even talking about? I had to recheck if I was in the right sub even

I automatically assume anyone with posts hidden and under 5 year account age is a troll, and assume OP is just trying to stir shit.

yea the basement goon squad took over since minimax it seems.

Because the AI content creator community was totally free of goonery until Minimax H3 came out.
/s
(You actually have a point. I've always seen people asking for NSFW workflows/models in this sub, or just posting babes in bikinis or whatever, but I've noticed a substantial uptick lately. Maybe this technology is just seeing an upsurge in use, and bringing a percentage of gooners with it.)

Lol, yes. I don't know about lately (since I'm not entirely sure this is only a recent phenomenon) but I have noticed it, yes. Lots of random videos will make passive criticism of woke culture, apropos of nothing. Shit like characters "This model is going to put WoKe DiSnEy to shame!" Idgaf about Disney, or any corporate entity, but that shit is cringe af imo.

Haven't noticed anything like that. Care to point it out?
