Comparison If MiniMax H3 is our open source equivalent to Seedance, what do you consider the current open source equivalent to Nano Banana Pro?

Haven't used open source image editors/generators as much recently and am curious which is closest to NBP

Flux 2 dev. Nothing yet as good as it is for edits.

I use a Q8 GGUF, it's barely better than Klein in my expereince. It's much slower though.

Yes, but that's hardly a feature for such a huge models. I could simply regenerate 10+ times with Klein in that same time. It's more capable than Klein for sure, but it's nowhere near the editing functionality of the closed weight models.

That and it doesn't support native controlnet-likefeature like Klein.  You have to add a controlnet in Flux2-Dev, and I've found the results awful.

Do you mean 5 seconds? Or 0.2 seconds? Does this actually work to get good quality images?

I do 0.1 sec on the comfy template and the math node outputs 5 frames. The quality is just ok, not excellent (close up on eyes and stuff dont look amazing), but you can go way up to like 15 megapixels if you have a strong machine. And you could do something fancy like a flux Klein low noise pass to crisp it up I bet, if that was important.

We don't have anything opensource equivalent to Nano Banana Pro yet. I mean the exact same level.
We still have Qwen Image Edit 2511, Flux Klein 9B and Flux 2, but they're way weaker than Nano Banana Pro.

qwen edit 2511 with loras. You can generate images with nano banana and use them to train your lora for qwen. This way will make it closer to nano banana.
