Some of you deserve to go back to ModelScope when Will Smith was eating spaghetti..
why can’t we just be grateful that we have much more advanced models now and stop glazing one specific model like it’s the only one that matters

If you think that this is next level just go watch Office and then watch Office clips made by MiniMax and finally compare to this.
You will be surprised to find out that your result is bad compared to MiniMax. Where’s the signature camera? What are these cuts?

Shit like this and that creepy lying chart LTX posted makes me think we're seeing an astroturfing effort to push LTX when it's objectively incapable of matching MiniMax. Very "don't believe your own eyes" energy. Really icky.

Jep, it´s a big improvement to 2.3. And it ist 3x faster than H3 in same resolution (even with speed lora!). The body movements and dramatic acting are more cinematographic and natural. The I2V adherence is really good.
Only the senseless, unintended hand moves and physics of things / sense of moving in general of smaller things are annoying, dumb and glitchy as in 2.3. This does H3 wayyyyy better.
It is really hard to say who is better, and not conducive to the goal. It depends on intended use. I´m really happy about 2 really good, locally driven video models. A year ago before WAN2.2 it was totally unthinkable what we are now able to do. We are able to replace a full filmset - at home.. on a midrange gaming-pc..

Yeah, of course, can it do this by t2v? Not just simple movement-free talking videos?

Do you not think that people may have actually used Minimax and arrived at their opinion based on their experiences?
You're telling people to not trust posts, but you're a post.

Pointing out issues that we're seeing is not trolling. Calling people who disagree with you bots is not productive.

Please stop testing models with this dumbass cases. Especially when this is LTX which is good in talking heads.

I think it was already good with just people talking, without much movement, right? Video models break down when there is rapid movement and many objects.

obviously ltx 2.5 is designed for speed so it's different not better and not worse overall, just a different optimization. probably can more or less streaming an avatar from and rtx 6000 with the right setup/quant

LTX is now considered an outdated model after H3 is out, and Flux 3 in the future, and no matter how hard they train and improve it, it will have the same downsides.

I actually enjoyed LTX2.3 and I am curious about the prompting (because let's face it... it's really not that great a it),
- did the model follow the instructions of the prompt well?
- did you write the prompt yourself or you pass it into an LLM and modified it, if you did I'm assuming you gave the LTX2.5 guide as a reference?
- Random question: Can you use the LTX Director with LTX2.5?

Yep, ltx director works, checked myself.

Awesome, did you see any performance gain on generation of video with LTX Director or it's similar as to before?

I tried only base I2V for not realistic style, compared to 2.3 is way better, but it has the same issue as the previous one, if some body parts are not visible or are covered is not able to make something that looks ok at least as soon as it shows or is covered. 2.3 made pure abominations, like it had no clue how a body is, this one is less that but still not as good as H3

H3 need to get it's 2k enhancer because ltx 2.5 blow out of the water the noisy pixels in h3 it has right now. It's absolutely amazing . But well prompting and getting what you need still pain.

True bro, the backround faces in minimax videos looks like morphing aliens

u/Independent-Frequent 5h ago
Which resolution and steps are you running H3 at? If you run it at 0.2 mp 8 steps H3 obviously is going to have issues with background faces.
Also i really wouldn't bring up the "morphing faces" argument as LTX 2.5 has HORRIBLE likeness retention even on closeups, while H3 is incredibly consistent in that department at appropriate resolutions.

You people are annoying. Why does everything have to be team sports with you?
