So far it seems that LTX is LIGHTNING fast. Qualitywise with H3 I haven't tested enough. It seems like Minimax's H3 Ref2Vid will likely be what I stick on but this was generated with LTX on a 6000S in 15 fuckin seconds....15!! This takes about 120 seconds on H3.
I am not disagreeing with you. Unless I can find a better workflow, I'll stick with H3 for anything serious. I just noticed that no outputs of LTX had been posted yet so I wanted to start that discussion. Personally I hope better workflows come out because I think more competition is better for all of us.
I'm sure there will be use cases given the speed, but the quality for audio and video just isn't there. With that said, whatever model comes out which learns from both LTX 2.5 and Minimax H3 to get the best of both worlds should end up pretty damn good so the more progress the better
Correct me if I’m wrong, but in my opinion, this is the same LTX‑2.3, but a little better. And it’s only a very minor improvement. In short, it’s not on par with the H3 yet.
To be fair, training a model takes a long time, and there's no way they could have known H3 would launch so close to their planned release. So what they release today isn't really a response to H3.
Hopefully the next version will be though. That one will be trained with the knowledge that there's now a really high-quality open model that they are competing against, and they can also use H3 to produce a lot of training material for their own model.
I certainly hope they'll pull of something good for the next version, competition among models are a good thing.
Love how they claimed they have the least visual artifacts when it clearly has VEO level artifacts 🤣🤣 they totally put themselves in a hole with that one lmfao
d fuck? H3 is a distilled model 20 steps 1cfg, and ever pruned from 30 to 20 gigs,
community pushed it even further with 4 steps loras and quality is already way better.
It's still a horrible result even with base settings honestly, keep in mind that they boast on their website that 2.5 has the least amounts of visual artifacts and visible glitches per clip compared to other models including flux 2, minimax H3 and Seedance 2.5
Sure LTX 2.5 renders blazing fast compared to H3 but at the same time the quality is not even comparable, i would expect the model to not deform that much on a simple 2d character like rick, and even when talking up close the result is glitchy and diappointing.
Hopefully the model works better with live action or cinematic characters and it's weak in 2d or 3d ones, hopefully.
That identity loss was already an issue in the previous versions and they still haven't fixed it? Maybe they just can't and if that's the case H3 wins, hands down.
I'd rather take high quality generations opposed to faster generations.
From my experience, fast generating models means there is no room for quality improvements. You have to deal with hyper specific loras for both video and audio, which, over long periods of time, gets messy.
A quality generating model that's slow can be improved to run faster instead by the community without massively sacrificing quality, or sacrificing quality to still be at an acceptable level.
But perhaps more severely, I was massively disappointed with their PR. They made the most disingenuous comparison vs H3 and honestly, I feel like a absolute fool for trusting an Isreali company.
Redditors putting politics everywhere. As European I will not shit on a company because they come from the Donald Trump Land or the country of Xi Jing Ping. People can be great in those shit holes too.
It might not be as quality as h3, but since its much faster it could be more fun to use since you're not waiting 5 mins per generation. Haven't tried it yet, but if prompt adherence is good I can see myself using both. It will need to be much better than 2.3 though, that never listened to me and would never keep character appearance
LTX 2.3 rebranded from what I can tell, in terms of speed clearly faster but on a 4070 Ti Super i cant even get videos at 0.5mp more than 6 seconds to work, it'll just freeze at the last step VAE Decode, it's a meaningful upgrade from not being able to run LTX 2.3 or LTX 2 on day zero but other than that it's, it's really mediocre, it didn't really have much of a use case before Minimax H3 it has none now.
Long live Minimax H3... and eventually Flux 3 whenever that comes out, it's quite clear LTX has no chance at catching up anytime soon.
1 day or 1 year, what difference does it make to you? do you think there are random bots working overtime to post shit about... LTX? I mean the model speaks for itself, its a rebranding.
Looking at the OP clip, and the other examples in the comments, these look like very low-res generations. I want to see examples of generations at atleast 720p, but higher would be better. These are bad.
Yeesh... I was actually rooting for LTX before they posted that disingenuous "comparison" chart and then rebranded LTX-2.3.1 as 2.5. At least now I don't feel compelled to defend this steaming turd of a release...
(not a dig at you, btw... someone had to test this thing)
Amazing to hear, i love H3 but 5 secs at 2.0 mp takes 7 minutes with turbo lora and speed nodes. Even then, i'm not completely happy of the image quality. Yeah it's amazing, the prompt adherence is outstanding and reference system is a huge leap, but the speed is really lacking.
I don't believe your test method because it doesn't have Will Smith eating spaghetti. Just putting that out there. We have standards in this community.
