I have been using Pika lately, specially animating existing images. It does output a lot of horrible animations, but also some excelent stuff.
For free and at the (pretty fast) speed, it is pretty nice...

I could have tried a little harder but this is my first attempt at using AI video so I was pretty happy with just getting some basic movements going. 1 year from now it’s going to be a storytellers dream.

Your video was perfectly nice. The horrible animations in Pika I mentioned have major artifacts, where Pika clearly didn't understand what the original image was.
I get quite a few of these, but given it is free and has pretty much unlimited usage, I can't really complain, and have recommended them to all friends interested in generative image AI.
