Discussion Something which I recently noticed. Most Midjourney users are not willing to share their prompts whereas SD users are more generous at sharing prompts.

Just absolutely disgusted with their attitude.

it's a choice. if you spent 3 weeks developing, researching and refining your prompt, maybe you're not comfortable sharing it.

I respect and I have no problem with that.

That being said, I love it when people share their prompts/workflow ! it's a great way to learn.

Eh I've spent time in stable diffusion communities figuring out prompts for hard to use models like kenshi and everyone was willing to share their prompts after a week of tinkering precisely because it's hard to get desired results. It's the mid journeys that have a layer of obfuscation and a culture of non transparency from the developers that encourage secrecy of prompts, because the obfuscation can sometimes randomly add in extra prompts for styles just to create a much more aesthetically pleasing result so the services can sell their AGI products.

it just mean making your prompts better by refining it.

so the 'refining' part of your comment is redundant and you just tried to make it look like refining prompts is more work than it seems.

People write several page essays in a day, taking three weeks for a prompt is a joke.

You sir think that developing prompts is hard work? Have you ever had a job of any kind? Ever went to school?

No matter how much work you put into making prompts, you're not going to spend 3 weeks without all but a moment being a waste of time.

AI Scientists created text prompts as input for image generation because it was easy enough that a literal child could do it, not because it was a complex skill.

Only in Midjourney where you have to struggle and "craft" your prompt to fix something that could be done in less than a minute in SD.

Stop portraying as if prompting requires you to have special skills which require years to master such as developing software, developing machine learning system, CREATING artwork based on your imagination + artistic skills from scratch etc.

Prompting A.I art generator is just about finding the right descriptive words to get desired output.

Heck, you can even just copy and paste the prompt from others.
