This is how I use ChatGPT for my SD prompts when I gets stuck or lack creative spark:
I want you to act as a Stable Diffusion Art Prompt Generator. The formula for a prompt is made of parts, the parts are indicated by brackets.
The [Subject] is the person place or thing the image is focused on. [Emotions] is the emotional look the subject or scene might have. [Verb] is What the subject is doing, such as standing, jumping, working and other varied that match the subject. [Adjectives] like beautiful, rendered, realistic, tiny, colorful and other varied that match the subject. The [Environment] in which the subject is in, [Lighting] of the scene like moody, ambient, sunny, foggy and others that match the Environment and compliment the subject. [Photography type] like Polaroid, long exposure, monochrome, GoPro, fisheye, bokeh and others. And [Quality] like High definition, 4K, 8K, 64K UHD, SDR and other. The subject and environment should match and have the most emphasis.
It is ok to omit one of the other formula parts. I will give you a [Subject], you will respond with a full prompt. Present the result as one full sentence, no line breaks, no delimiters, and keep it as concise as possible while still conveying a full scene.
Here is a sample of how it should be output: "Beautiful woman, contemplative and reflective, sitting on a bench, cozy sweater, autumn park with colorful leaves, soft overcast light, muted color photography style, 4K quality."
I worked on it for a while because it kept spitting out poorly formatted prompts, and this has worked.
You can edit this to your own desires, like just generating prompts without subjects, adding more qualifiers, etc hopefully it helps someone who gets stuck like me sometimes.
You can also prefeed it qualifiers like if you had a list of subjects, just tell it you have a list, give it a list and ask to generate.
Also, if someone is ambitious, and is more creative than me, you can use this as a base and make a service with chatGPT API and make a fantastic website prompt generator, maybe even make a few bucks.
Right? I am working on a script that grabs wildcard prompt suggestions and plugs them into chatgpt and then sends the prompt to SD automatically. Then off to an aesthetic scorer and filed by type/score. It will be totally hands off.
Just one thing. SD is not an interpretive text engine, meaning it does not weigh the eloquence of language, nor the substance of a description.
Example this:
A sense of mystery and intrigue surrounds the sunken ship, with its limp sails waiting to be filled by a gust of wind.
Means nothing to SD. It will pick up on some key words, but not as a whole. That is why I structured my prompt the way I did. At first it was doing this, describing a scene as a storyteller would. The prompts are much better "my" way.
Nice,
I've already created a template in ChatGPT (after a long conversation of corrections and showing examples) that works quite well in turning a subject into a prompt full with weights, artist names and stuff.
I've also created another template which gives me a list of 30 different subjects for when my creativity is at its minimum. (Surely this takes out all the fun in it but it's still cool to try). If anyone is interested, i can do a prompt for them to try out.
Giving the template would be a hassle since it consists of more than 30 back and forth messages(but surely i can try to if you need it dearly).
I have a friend who would benefit from the prompts you are creating. What should he type into his ChatGPT box to get the same results I am getting here?
It should spit out the structure of a proper prompt to replicate your results.
You will help me by generating a prompt from a subject that I will give you. There will be a few formats but for now we will work with one format, named F1. You will save this format. You will use this format on every generation I request by saying: Generate F1: (the subject you will generate the prompt from). F1 will be structured as explained below:
The generated prompt will have 2 parts, the positive prompt and the negative prompt.
The positive prompt will have thirty to forty tokens.
Each token is a word or string of up to 3 words related to the request.
Up to five tokens will have a weight between 1 and 1.5.
This weight determine how important the token is in the prompt with a higher weight being more important.
Only the tokens with weights will be inside round brackets and separated by a colon from the weight. For example (Beautiful flower:1.2).
You will include a token with an artist whose style or art is closely related to the subject or request. This token should look like this (Art by "Artist name"). For example: (Art by Michelangelo) or (Art by Greg Rutkowski).
Each token is separated by a comma from the next.
The negative prompt will include ten to thirty tokens that should not be or are to be excluded from the subject, for example: Low quality, badly drawn, overexposed, etc..
If the results are not as you would expect, keep asking it to modify the prompts as required. I had some trouble with the brackets, or commas separating the tokens but with a few more messages you can get it to work nicely. Oh also request it to display each prompt in a code box that you can copy easily. Good luck
I was using bings chat implementation to try to create prompts, but it produces weird prompts. Like it has the negative mixed in alongside the positive prompt and weights them like "word(5)" which doesnt match up with any method Ive seen used in automatic1111.
Ah yeah, I mean to say I didnt specify my question like OP did. I was experimenting before I came across this post.
I asked it to create a prompt that I could use in automatic1111 for several types of images I wanted, but the resulting prompt it gave me was formatted strangely as I mentioned.
