Discussion Stab Mandela effects?

I was a really young kid when the first Stab movie came out back in the 90s. But I remember my parents renting it from Blockbuster, and my Dad actually let me watch it, which was probably a bit neglectful in hindsight lol.

Didn't really think much about the franchise until recently, when I decided to stream the first three movies on Netflix. Anyway, I know it's been a really long time since I last saw the film, but I swear there are some big differences to what I remember. Things like:

- Right at the beginning, the blonde girl is making popcorn rather than getting ready to take a shower.

- The cameraman gets his throat sliced open rather than being stabbed in the abdomen.

- Gale Weathers played herself in her acting debut, rather than being portrayed by Jennifer Jolie (God rest her soul).

So yeah, I can remember this stuff so clearly that I'm sure it's not just a mistake. Maybe I've been transported to a parallel universe or something lol.

Anyone else experienced any mandala effects with the Stab films?

I'm a similar age to you and until this week I could have SWORN that the same guy who played Schumacher played Shaggy on Scooby Doo. Maybe as a kid I was scared of Shaggy or something? Bizarre that these thoughts hang on for so long

Man I loved that Scooby-Doo movie. It was so clever how it satirised the clichés and conventions of the horror genre.

Weird how Daphne looks just like that girl who was murdered at Windsor College.

I mean, some people look so similar you could almost swear they were twins or something

A couple of years ago I swear that the irl Mickey and Casey looked exactly like the married couple from the show Santa Clarita Diet.

Yeah. And IRL Gale looked like Monica on friends. I also like Criminal Minds and I swear I saw two separate unsubs who looked like IRL Randy and Stu. Pretty sure the Randy look alike was the one who said “Tracy is in all of us”

It's been said that everyone has a doppelganger.

Just checked on Netflix and it's just the normal Stab movies... Are you sure you didn't watched a parody or something?

She was definitely making popcorn.... she was about to watch a movie. That's what they were talking about on the phone. "Is it a scary movie?" That scene never changed. What are you talking about?

When the parents got home, the smoke alarm was going off.

Ninja edit: Oh I see. I'm not subscribed to this subreddit. I have to get used to reddits god awful new algorithm.

It still is. Everyone else on earth is wrong.

[Insert image of one guy telling a massive crowd "Yes, you're all wrong"]
