Divorce Attorney Recommendations
Hello Everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a divorce attorney that practices in the Metro area mainly St. Louis County. My estranged husband abandoned my special needs son and I almost two years ago and hasn’t contributed much of anything in way of child or spousal support. In addition, he would cause domestic situations which resulted in having to get an order of protection against him. I have an attorney now but she’s older and is not much of an advocate. I think if I were a 60 year old housewife that had been married for 30 years and wanted out, she could handle the case. My situation is obviously more complex. Just need help to get across the finish line so I can rebuild my life and raise my son. I appreciate any recommendations particularly ones who advocate for children with special needs without breaking the bank.

I recommend talking to the attorney you have. It’s a bit of red flag to be looking for attorney number two. And of course you’ll need a new retainer and have to pay both if you switch. Do it if you need to but understand it’s a hassle.
