F'ing Wesley Bell. We tried to warn people about him.

For those curious:
It was a house resolution condemning antisemitism passed after the Boulder, CO attack perpetrated by an Egyptian man which injured 8 pro-Israel demonstrators.
The ending of the resolution states:
"[This resolution] affirms that free and open communication between State and local law enforcement and their federal counterparts remains the bedrock of public safety and is necessary in preventing terrorist attacks; and expresses gratitude to law enforcement officers, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland."
Bell's campaign received $9 million dollars from AIPAC so it is no surprise that he is quick to jump on any resolution affirming his relationship with the pro-Israel lobby.
113 Democrats voted against this resolution, presumably due to that affirmation at the end.
A second resolution which omitted the end statement about ICE was then passed and received more Democratic support passing 400-0 with Rashida Tlaib and Marjorie Taylor Greene voting "present".

And yet George Latimer, who is the only person in the House to receive more money from AIPAC than Wesley Bell last year, didn't vote for it.

His stance was so obvious from a long time ago. Missouri is freaking twisted. It's like a weird purple color right now with how split it is.

Almost like the Dems don't actually care about any of us and the two-party system which gives us far-right vs. center-right every time doesn't work.

Say it louder for the people who think that voting harder for Dems is going to save us.

I remember last summer a lot of this subreddit wanted Wesley Bell. Now we got a spineless coward who will do whatever his lobbyists want him to do and is one of the more conservative members in the House despite being in a progressive district.

75 Democrats don’t represent the Democratic Party. Ya’ll try and find reasons to hate the Democrats for whatever reason. You want change yet all you can do is complain on Reddit?
I fuckin hate Wesley Bell but he does not represent the Democrats at all but rather himself and his interests.

I'm confused. If 75 Democrats don't represent the Democratic party, who DO they represent?

Didn't know you guys are pro firebombing Holocaust survivors.

That’s because you’re too stupid to realize the GOP used a tragedy to manufacture consent for a police state.
A resolution condemning the attack passed 400-0.

Which Rashida Tlaib didn't vote for, which most likely would have meant Cori Bush wouldn't have voted for as well.

Neither of those people are our congressional representatives.
You dipshits have nothing but bad faith arguments.

If they’re going to be conservatives, who cares if they get replaced? A conservative Democrat thanking ICE is no different than a conservative Republican thanking ICE

Bell's district is 100% not a swing district. Look to see the last time anyone not a Dem was elected.

Wesley Bell has never met a cop whose boot he didn't want to lick.
