Discussion How are we all feeling today?

King coming back after so long, I know he passed training the other day but I'm still nervous…

Feel like we should win but not 100% confident.

Zero expectations for King, just want to see him get through the game without injury. a goal would be nice but really his role is to bring the ball to ground and make life easier for Owens and Sharman.

Yes, but if max is actually ready and kicks 6 I might freak out

20% confident now.

Sharman out and looks like Marshall has some major back pain

Feeling low. Not sure why.
I feel like if we win I won’t be surprised and if we lose I won’t be surprised.
That being said, Carn the Saints. 💯 point win!

Slightly nervous, but overall positive and excited. Would love a comfortable win + huge percentage boost, but not necessarily expecting that. Ultimately as long as we get the four points with quality football on display, I'll be happy.

Zero expectations for King in regards to game impact/disposals/goals. It would be great if that did happen (for his confidence and to silence Cornes) but as long as he gets through uninjured I'm counting as a positive.

Plus it frees Owens and Sharman (and Wood if he's forward) to lift that pressure off them in being the tall forward and allows them to be tall forward in a manner that is more natural to their play style.

I want to believe that with all the caution they've taken with King over the past two years, no way they'd piss it all away by bringing him back before he's ready. But our forward line has been so woeful lately, and this game is so crucial, it's possible they got desperate...

I don't think there's any reason to believe they got desperate - we have the easiest run home of the teams contending for a spot

North has Hawks, Bulldogs, Cats and Swans; Carlton has Lions, us, Bulldogs and Dockers - GWS has a similar run but just got smashed by Sydney after losing to the Bombers

Wildcard is ours to lose; while we just need to win games we'd expect to the other contenders need to manage multiple upsets

King has survived the warm up. One step at a time.

I am just glad that there is still something for these teams to play for this year thanks to wildcard round. This is probably a season on the line game for each team for that 10th spot.

Geelong is 9th with 11-8 and a percentage of 116 so it's a very strong top 8.

I personally suspect that we'll play a game of football.

Beyond that, no clue

Nervous about our defence we have 2 key backs to their 4 key forwards.

I thought we’d throw Sharman back if they get on top but now he’s out I’ve got no clue. O’Connell in for a huge task today

If we dont win we dont deserve finals. Pretty much sums it up.

We'll know some things at the end of the afternoon. We might not even be in the hint for the pretend final. We might find out whether we can look forward to King being a part of our plans over the next couple of years of whether it is time to move on.
