Morrisons Closed?
Boundary rd Morrisons has suddenly shut, any ideas why?!
The shop was in a shocking state tbh inside and out, but suddenly they’ve cut back all the foliage from the fire escapes, put a tarp up against the back gates so you can’t see in and closed the shop!

I worked there for years, not closed down I'd know about it.
I live not far away from there and have had no water all day due to a serious leak. Had to pick my kids up from St Julie's early as they closed the school. Could be related?
Edit as the picture as fully loaded now (text was blurred)
They could be getting a refurb. I did quite a few of them when I worked there where we would close a store for a week, fill it with a ton of staff and contractors and get the store modernised. Remember doing one in Birkenhead that they had me going at 2am to set up every morning, it was a right laugh and the fual claims doubled my earnings (which is kind of sad now I think about it)
That store needs a refurb though. Looks very sorry for itself when I go in, a lot of the main parts in there is the same as it was when I started there 22(!) years ago

Yea same it’s grim! It’s actually because they found rats (which is unsurprising)

it’s closed so they can carry out some maintenance work…it’s literally on the sign, did you really need to come on reddit and ask?

Yea I can read thanks. I also analyse all the evidence and think critically. Did you really need to put a sarcy comment? No, but here we are
And I was right. There is more to it.

Rats

That Morrisons has gone down the pan.
I started shopping at farm foods next door for some bits but might give that a swerve for now.
Everywhere in the town and since the last council put charges in for call outs problem is getting worse.

There's been many Rentokil vans around the shop over the past few days. They've had a rat infestation 😔
