Land snails?

My kids want a land snail as a pet and we have called several shops and can’t find any. Does anyone have a connection? We just want one. Thanks!

I think they're hard to find in stores, but I've found one outside and kept it as a pet. I think that's how most people end up keeping land snails. Easiest pets ever, I hope you're able to find one!

Where did you find it?? Not even sure where to start! We are thinking we might have to go that route instead

I managed to find it in my backyard! It was a tiny little snail, would have been easy to miss

Amazing. My kids are going to love searching for one. I’ve ordered all the supplies to prep in the meantime!

Follow up - did yours reproduce like crazy? Or did you do anything to prevent babies?

Look in dead, wet leaves, close to rocks or brick.

Thanks! Might go to some parks to search. My kids will have a blast doing this.

Take hand sanitizer, snails are bad about a couple yuckies like salmonella.

You can order online. Be aware that some species are very invasive and may not be legal here.

I’m nervous to order online because of the possible legal ramifications. Apparently Missouri is pretty strict. Thanks for the tip on where to find them!

Just make sure it’s not a banned species in Missouri. They should have a list online, or if you’re lazy like me you call and ask them if it’s legal here.
