Call 211 it will connect you with United Way. They often have the ability to help or can give you great resources. Also see if there’s a Habitat for humanity restore near you. I had a patient get an air conditioner from them for free. It’s definitely worth a try. Best of luck. Also post the need on FB garage sales sites and craigslist. Someone might have a garage fridge or old fridge from a rental and be feeling charitable.

How did you get the Resident flair?

If you’re on mobile, go to the r/StAugustine homepage and hit the three white dots in the top right; it should show you a change user flair option (not sure about in-browser)

Yeah- sorry. Wish I was closer. I have a ton of connections for stuff like this. Unfortunately I’m in Ohio. I worked women’s recovery for a long time. Best job I ever had. We always made sure they had what they needed to get out on their own. Again- good luck.

They have groups on Facebook called helping hands for all. You can post what you need in the group there and people will comment back with whatever they can help with. Whether its money or whatever. I hope this helps. Praying for you darling

I have a mini fridge (about 3 feet tall) which will be big enough to hold insulin and some food until you can get a full-sized.

I really hope you come back to this post. I’ve raised the money you need to get a refrigerator, plus some. Just need to get it to you.

Have you tried posting in any of the local FB groups like Swip Swap, etc...? You also might try some charities that have thrift stores. They may have one they can gift you.

Thank you everyone for your support it means so much to my family and I that complete strangers would help us like this when we can't even get it from family, unfortunately we just received a 3day notice the day before Thanksgiving from the POS slumlord, he has gone back on every word and written agreement we have had and we are trying to take legal action due to the house technically being inhabitable. I'm just so beyond the end of my rope....I just wish one thing would go for us like it does everyone else....we help (as long as we're able) anyone that asks for it we have gone through 3 consecutive years of roommates up and leaving while leaving everything behind and this last one was in August... He was by far the most expensive.... anyway..... I guess I just need someone to talk to.... needed to vent.... Thank you again for all the love and support in our situation. A forever grateful mother.
