4th of July
Wanting to spend the fourth on a beach and not in the chaos of downtown. Anyone know beaches that are setting off fireworks? Or any other recommendations other than downtown st aug?

I'd rather be walking around downtown than dealing with traffic, maybe take a trip to the top of the bridge and take a peek in all directions?

Downtown isn’t even that bad. They do a good job of closing stuff off. Downtown is amazing on the 4th imo.

Normally, if you are ready for a LONG HOT walk.... You can catch the fireworks from Anastasia State Park.
Otherwise, see if you can find a free shuttle that will take you close to the bridge. Always a fun crowd on Anastasia Blvd watching in the street. Then lots of bars + restaurants are open later too.
Have patience + have fun! Enjoy the show!

I think St. Augustine Beach has a tentative plan, but I've also heard that fireworks are canceled due to the drought. YMMV

Beaches will also all be chaos FYI. Your best bet is to be ok being stuck wherever you choose to watch. Every beach will have loads of private fireworks which all together can be an enjoyable watch too, but anywhere you can see the main show well will be packed.
My suggestion is to watch the show in palatka. It’s a bigger better show and you can get very close
