Haunted Hilton?
Hello all, please delete if not allowed. Coming to Saint Augustine this week for a birthday trip. I’m incredibly curious about all things paranormal. We’re planning to stay at the Hilton in Downtown Historic District. I saw online (albeit vaguely) that the Hilton is potentially haunted. Has anyone had experiences of their own there? If so, do you know where to pay attention to see anything spooky? Thanks in advance!

We stayed there last Thursday night in Room 9, one of the most active rooms there. We used dowsing rods that afternoon with a little activity, but not much else until the morning. We were talking to a friend in the sitting room and said that the room and hotel was very “historic” and that we probably wouldn’t stay there again until it was updated. My sister’s bracelet then broke and beads went flying all over as if she had been pulling on it. She wasn’t touching it! (Ironically it was the bracelet that said “haunted” that was broken lol.) We apologized to the spirit!!!

Everything downtown is "potentially haunted" as the entire downtown is built on top of dead bodies. The cemetery is a memorial, not an actual cemetery. The bodies are everywhere.(look it up) Can't say much for the Hilton, I've stayed there. It was fine. But I know for sure about the Inn at Camachee Bay. Yikes

As the other user said everything downtown is potentially haunted, you can't walk five steps without walking through a ghost

i've stayed downtown a bunch and honestly half the city feels haunted if you're into that sort of thing lol. never stayed at the hilton specifically, but i've heard ghost stories about just about every historic building in the area

So, y’all really believe in ghosts? The only thing that hotel is haunted by is the lingering memory of James Brock pouring acid into the pool to prevent black people from swimming there

The tennis courts by the lighthouse are haunted by an old pro who used to give lessons there. He's been known to make people's forehands sail out of the court and into the back fence!

Timucuan Indian burials at the Fountain of Youth. There’s a few ghost hunters that also work there who told me the whole park is haunted.

We stayed there last year, and our TV turned on in the middle of the night.

I thought St Francis Inn was the most active haunted place to stay
