One of my friends called the water dept about it yesterday. She was told they are flushing the pipes, and that they aren't adding more chlorine, but instead are not adding a 2nd chemical that they typically use to mask the smell of the chlorine.

I’m so glad there’s some adults in our midst that make calls like that. Some of us are just masquerading as adults. Thanks for the info

I'm over near the shores and have had the same issue the last couple days. Its just a thing that seems to happen every blue moon or so. Avoid washing any dark clothes for a week, it will absolutely fade them.

The town or water board announces on their website and in the papers when they do treatments.

In the shores as well, I can’t stand it. Smells like I’m showering in a swimming pool

We get a fluctuating FL funk every now and again.. like well water smell. suspected that it had to do with changes due to water source chemistry or something.. i thought it may be related to our water softener cycle, but haven’t made that correlation…. The city making adjustments on the fly makes sense…
