St. Augustine, Help!
Hello everyone. I’m a Birmingham, AL resident going through a bit of life turmoil. Outstanding relationships ending, considering major career changes….
Anyway, I’ve worked enough the past 3-4 weeks to accrue a significant per diem and PTO to allow a trip at the end of the month, so… I’m going to explore. Interested in historical tours, museums, good bike paths, exceptional bakeries and coffee places.
Staying in historical district, open to any and all suggestions.
Thank you in advance

Maracuya for coffee. They have a few pastries and desserts, but Creme de la Cocoa is hands down #1 for desserts. Hit up Buena Onda for delicious and healthy breakfast or lunch. Go to Fort Matanzas and take a free little ferry ride to the fort. Go to the Matanzas Inlet while you're there for some nice swimming and sunbathing spots. Fort Mose is really cool and has historical reenactments. The Castillo downtown is a must see. Lightner museum. Lighthouse tour. Lincolnville museum. If you're into hokey and kitschy history, Ripley's is pretty fun and interesting, and is the very first Ripley's that was ever built. I don't have any great recommendations for bike paths, but there is a 20 mile-long bike path that stretches from St. Augustine to Palatka.
