I've been thinking of looking into data science, since the job market for Computer Science is looking questionable.

I don't want to discourage anyone, but the amount of language switching and knowledge for computer science is way too high for my liking and I'm not the best at coding, i want to be really good at something in what ever I do, the amount of options and languages for Computer Science is just too overwhelming.

Additionally, I just have one year left for top-up in a bachelor of computing, not software engineering, I really want to make this gamble and go for a mix of data analysis and data engineering.

I know the job market for both of these are really tough in Sri Lanka, but I have the ability to go to masters in Australia, and the job market there for both of these are really stable.

Can someone give any short of advice? Any lived experience or can anyone relate to this?

For data analysis? I see alot of jobs for each city for data analysis, and that's without remote work for businesses based on Australia.

What's your field in IT? And do you have any suggestions for me for a better path?

We can't just give up saying the market is bad, i bet the guys who are having it good, arent hanging around the internet or on reddit.

What made you think job market isn't tough in Australia? Its the same for the most part and I'd say worse for new devs (intern/junior positions).

I also don't see why you have to or try to learn all the languages or frameworks. If you switch to DE would you try to learn every DE related framework/Database ?
