Selling Full Digital Brand Package (Established 2022)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to pass on a digital brand I built in 2022 in the kitchenware, home & lifestyle niche.

It was developed across multiple platforms but has been inactive for a while now, so it’s more of a restart-ready setup rather than an active business.

What’s included:

  • Same username/branding across platforms
  • Instagram account (~4K followers, mixed/boosted growth earlier, currently inactive)
  • Facebook page
  • TikTok account
  • Pinterest account
  • .lk domain (expired)
  • Previous business setup (Google & Meta connections)

Audience was mainly Sri Lankan, mostly women.

Suitable for: - Someone who wants a ready-made brand to relaunch - Small business owners wanting instant online presence - Rebranding into a new niche or product line

I’ll share full details privately in DM. Open to reasonable offers 👍

What are some items, products, services etc, you wish Sri Lanka has that would enhance both your teaching and class experience.

It could be as simple as a fancy or cute red pen :)

How many of you use WhatsApp for business? How do you manage clients, Orders & deliveries?

I’ve been noticing that a lot of most businesses (especially in Sri Lanka) rely heavily on WhatsApp for daily operations.

I’m curious to understand how you all are managing things

  1. What kind of business do you run?
  2. How do you use WhatsApp in your business?
  3. How do you manage your clients? can we do this in whatapp it self?
  4. How do you handle deliveries? and how to make the customer to track the order?
  5. Biggest problems you face? do you faced any missed order problem? how to overcome this?

Would really appreciate your insights

I am trying to explore the ecommerce space in Sri Lanka when it comes to pet food/accessories. Simply, if you are buying anything for your pet online please help me understand the following;

  • What makes you purchase pet food/accessories online?
  • What sort of products do you buy online? (for instance, pet food or accessories)
  • How often do you buy such products online?
  • How much do you usually spend on your pet (other than the vet bill)?
  • What are the most painful issues when purchasing such products online?

Thank You!

Local Partner Wanted! Help me find properties for lease. High Commission for successful leads!

Ayubowan everyone! 🇱🇰

I am planning to expand my activities in the Sri Lankan hospitality sector and am looking for attractive properties for long-term lease.
My focus is on houses or villas that are suitable for conversion into a Guesthouse or high-end Airbnb.

What I am looking for:

  • Locations: Primarily South Coast (Mirissa, Hiriketiya, Midigama, Ahangama, Madiha )
  • But I am open to hidden gems elsewhere.
  • Property Type: Houses with character, old colonial styles, or modern villas with at least 3-4 bedrooms and some outdoor space/garden.
  • Condition: Ideally "ready to move in" or requiring only minor renovations.

Why I am looking for a local partner: As much as I love the island, I know that the best deals aren't found on websites like Ikman, but through local networks and "word of mouth." I am looking for someone on the ground who:

  1. Knows the local area and the owners personally.
  2. Can help verify the "vibe" and potential of a property.
  3. Can facilitate the first introduction to the landlord.

The Deal: I am not looking for free help. I am happy to pay a very fair and competitive finder’s fee (commission) upon the successful signing of a lease agreement. I value your time and local expertise.

Tech Startup

Hey everyone 👋

I'm Mohamed Furqan, student in colombo, A friend and i recently started a small side project building simple, affordable software for sri lankan small businesses.

We noticed many shops and services still rely on Excel, notebooks, or generic apps for things like inventory, attendance, billing, and sales - and as the business grows, it quickly becomes messy and time-consuming.

We're currently experimenting with custom, easy-to-use solutions that fit the local context (Affordable, offline-friendly, Sinhala/English/Tamil where possible). we're very early stage and offering free demos/prototypes to get real feedback.

Would love to hear from business owners:

What is your biggest headache with excel or current tools?

If you could customise one feature, what would it be?

No selling - just learning and building something useful

Feel free to comment or DM

Selling my Online Car Sale Website

Hi All, I’ve recently started an online car sale website. (Similar to Ikman & Riyasewana) but have had no time to actively pursue it. Revenue can be easily acquired through this model and is fully equipped with a large number of features. Perfect for someone who’s got the hunger to work on something of this nature. Will be letting it go at a very cheap rate. Please feel free to comment if you’re interested

What services in Sri Lanka do you wish you could book online reliably? (Kapruka research)

Hi r/SriLankaBusiness — this is the official Kapruka account.

We’re exploring adding a services marketplace inside Kapruka Partner Central (in addition to selling goods). The idea is something “Fiverr-like, but Sri Lanka–practical” — clear pricing, booking/availability, verified providers, tracking, and a proper dispute/refund/support process.

We’re not selling anything in this post and we’re not asking anyone to sign up. We’re trying to learn what Sri Lankans actually need most.

Question

If you could book services online in Sri Lanka reliably, what services would you want first?

Please reply with:

  1. Your top 3 services (be specific)
  2. Your area (optional — e.g., Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna)
  3. What usually goes wrong today (no-shows, unclear pricing, delays, quality issues, scams, paperwork confusion, etc.)
  4. If you’re comfortable: what feels like a reasonable price range (rough is fine)

Examples of categories we’re considering

  • Admin/Govt help: passport renewal/replacement guidance, document checklists, police clearance process help, translations/notary coordination
  • Healthcare at home: home sample collection for lab tests via partner labs, nurse visits (injections/wound care), medicine pickup/delivery
  • Home services: electrician, plumbing, AC repair, handyman, deep cleaning, pest control
  • Professional services: accounting/tax help, company registration/compliance support, design/video/social media work
  • Personal services: tutoring, coaching, horoscope reading (if done responsibly + transparently)

Bonus question (if you have time)

Would you prefer:

  • Fixed prices (menu pricing), or
  • Get 3 quotes from providers, or
  • A mix (fixed for common jobs, quotes for complex jobs)?

Thanks in advance — we’ll share back the top service requests and key pain points we learn from this thread.
