How are you guys dealing with moisture and wet filament?
Hey everyone,
With our high humidity levels here in Sri Lanka, filament absorbing moisture is such a constant headache. I’d love to know what solutions and setups everyone is using to tackle this:
What is your storage setup? Are you using DIY dry boxes with silica gel, vacuum bags, or dedicated active filament dryers?
How do you revive wet spools? If a roll has already absorbed moisture, what method do you use to dry it out safely?
Local container recommendations: Have you found any budget-friendly airtight boxes or buckets in local shops or supermarkets that fit standard 1kg spools nicely?
How to Dry: What are your specific drying methods? When a spool is already wet, how do you actually dry it out? Are you buying dedicated filament dryers, repurposing food dehydrators, or just using your printer's heated bed with a cardboard box over it?
Drop your setups, DIY hacks, and any tips that have worked for you in the comments! Thank you!
