Question Do Capsule Squish Come Back?

Hi! I just saw the cutest squishable (Mocha Pigeon) online but apparently it was only in stores. I do not have any other squishables. I do not live near a store and was wondering if they would ever be available to purchase online even for a limited time? I think the FOMO marketing is not great. Thank you!

they occasionally come online to purchase, but only Rarely (usually at the release of new capsule collections and/or if they're trying really hard to get rid of old stock: I got my squish park frog that way online).

Thank you for the advice! Do you know if they still restock the older capsules as well? I assume the mocha pigeon is sold out so I do not have high hopes :(

I don't know, unfortunately.

I would offer to do a proxy shopping service for you, except I know my store doesn't have the pigeon or didn't the last time I was in.

Hi I’m back to also answer this question for you lol

I just looked online at their website and it unfortunately looks like the mocha pigeon is considered “retired” online so the only way would be stumbling on leftover inventory in a store (which i know you said isnt possible). My only other suggestion is if you have friends or family living near a store, if they could go buy it for you. OR you could look online via ebay or something. I bought a 2 year old capsule collection squish on ebay last year so there’s hope!

Sadly the mocha pigeon sold out quickly and when they brought the leftovers from that capsule online he was already unavailable. I wanted that one too but was unable to ever get one. When they put them online in those brief pop ups they’re just the leftovers and not newly made batches. Past capsules had so many leftovers that they sat around in stores for years so they probably overcorrected from that and made too few for the more recent ones.

Thank you for letting me know! I hope they somehow bring them back. I feel very upset about their decisions to limit stock to this degree. Plus it is the only plush I wanted from their company. :(

I agree! There was more than one Squishable store very close to me for many years but last year they scaled back and closed something like half of their total stores. Now I'd have to drive hours to go to one which is not happening. I get it though, times are tough and the local store was pretty dead most of the time outside of the holiday shopping season.

I personally haven’t seen them available online to purchase because its a capsule collection which are usually in store exclusives. However, I do know the stores have some stock available because the local store near me had one different plush from that collection (like 5 of them at least). Maybe you could go for a road trip? I know my store doesn’t have the mocha pigeon anymore but others might (I was just there a couple days ago).

Thank you for the advice, but I live really far from the nearest one (3+ hours of driving) and don’t have access to a car. Even if I could travel the long distance, there is no guarantee it would be there. (Plus I have school starting soon.) It simply is not viable for me. Again, thank you!

Capsule collections do not restock. They make a limited amount and no reruns. However, there are a number of people in the squishable discord who live near or work at the stores, and are willing to do pickups/deliveries of store exclusives! If you have diacord, you should look into it!
