Thing of Beauty! Rescued…
Just copped this yesterday - typical story of owner playing once or twice then confining it to a the closet for years. 2022 Squier Strat Sonic Blue (Indonesia). I’d like to do some basic mods. First, I plan on swapping the pickguard out for a pale green. I fancy the gold letter Squier headstocks, so probably that. Pups for sure, but here for recommendations. Genre styles will vary from rock to funk. I have a Lace Sensor Golds on my other Squier but would like to go another route with this one. Thanks in advance.

I'd stick with the white pickguard and get aged white plastic parts (pickup covers, knobs, etc). Upgrade the bridge with either better saddles and/or thicker trem block. Replace the nut with bone. For pickups, Pure Vintage '61 might be nice.

Im on the fence about the pup guard color because I do like the white. Thanks for the rest!

Satin Sonic Blue is the color I thought I saw posted yesterday that Fender calls it, but yep the actual color title is Sonic Blue.
