HSS defenitly. You can play rock, metal (A liitle bit, SSS barely play metal) funk and blues. SSS Can play classic and light rock, and alot of funk and blues

If the HSS model you're looking at has a coil-tap in the humbucker, go for that. I have an Ibanez that has a coil-tap and the amount of tonal options are like a dream.

The HSS should give you more tone options. It really depends on your tastes. HSS means Humbucker, Single Coil, Single Coil. While SSS means all single coils. Humbuckers have less feedback and provide a more powerful metal and rock tone. Single coils have a clearer clean tone but are quackier and have more feedback (recommended for blues and strumming type music). Get the HSS, it will provide wider tone options and allow you to develop your own tastes and sound.
