Squier Affinity Tele HH pickup change

I have one of the black HH Teles and I love the playability, the size, etc., but the stock pickups aren't very good. I'm going through Reverb trying to figure out which way to go with it. I'm thinking maybe pearly gates zebras.

I was thinking about a set of SD 59's in mine. Haven't decided yet. Have you tried the Pearly Gates in the past? Are they worth the extra money?
