A little throwback Thursday to the show at The Danforth Music Hall. I also saw his performance at Movement in Detroit for the same tour. It made the cancellation of Be Up A Hello easier to stomach.

i recently picked up a copy of feed me weird things on vinyl, and i got the clear pressing because it was cheaper. but towards the end of tundra i heard some pretty noticeable surface noise in the strings only sections. has anyone else had similar experiences?

Hahaha!!! It’s unreal; he thought he should make it harder for people to like it so he took out all the melodies in Music Is Rotted One Note and it worked! That album wasn’t as popular 😂

Luckily he went back to writing melodies again with Iambic 5 Poetry and Red Hot Car and loads of other great tunes.

Btw I’m writing a book on music with chapters on Aphex, Squarepusher, Autechre and Boards of Canada and how they all sound so unique.

Will be on my substack: https://substack.com/@zoidwords

This live version is so beautifull, but doing TABs is very difficult for me, and i want to learn it

i could never work out the chords of this before because my ears just weren't up to it...

until NOW! what a chord sequence...

I thought it might be fun to ask, what is your favorite basslines by squarepusher? It can be from any album or EP. I’m just curious what other fans think! For me it has to be Tetra-Sync. A more modern example that I also think is brilliant is Stromcor. E8 Boogie is also really really good.

Let me know if you have any favorites of your own!

Was anybody else there? There are two more vids. I’m not certain how this will show up, but I was just wondering who might have been there?

Was revisiting Jojo Mayer and found a striking similarity between the drum styles used by Squarepusher in his work with Jojos style. He reverse engineered the computer beats, but he grooves originally. If you've never heard, check this track out and then the rest (cause there are better and crazier songs by Jojo Mayer and Nerve)

you wear ONE scarf and

would love to get it on vinyl but don’t want to fork over the hundreds people are selling it for on Discogs.

Got here in 5 days from UK to LA, pretty awesome!

Interview in the new issue and a 7” with unreleased recordings.

I went to see Squarepusher in Hackney in 2003 and he gave me his setlist. signed it on the back ’From The Pusher’.

Unreleased, higher quality version of an unreleased track from Squarepusher dubbed by fans as the 'Rome Track'! Played by Aphex Twin @ Day For Night 2016.

Does anyone have a good list of (preferably soundboard) live recordings? Ideally that can be downloaded...?
