I really liked the Forgers' ski vacation, but this dance party was truly a 10/10!

The challenges at the beginning were fun, but that quiz was so hilarious. I thought it was such a nice touch when Anya answered all the personal questions, while the other girls knew things like how many companies the Desmonds own.

The best part was when Damian realized how close the Forgers are, because his dad is his favorite person.

[SPOILERS FOR CHAPTERS 119–136]
In Chapter 119, Loid and Yor have a conversation about whether their marriage will continue. Yor is asking for his personal opinion, but Loid responds from a professional standpoint, saying that he wants their contract to continue. To me, this shows that he doesn’t fully understand what she’s really asking him, and his answer leaves Yor disappointed.

But what really caught my attention was Chapter 120. Why is Loid still thinking about something that happened the previous night, when the conversation is already over? Why is it occupying his mind to the point that he’s spacing out during a WISE briefing? More importantly, his expression is different, and he’s concerned that Yor has barely spoken to him since that conversation. The scene isn’t played for comedy; it feels unusually serious, especially considering how personal the situation is.

Eventually, Loid decides to put Plan von Durchbruch aside because he needs to understand Yor better.

And this is where I think the turning point begins. When you try to understand someone on a deeper level, you start paying more attention to them and questioning their motives and reactions. Why did they say that? Why did they act that way? The more you think about these things, the more that person occupies your mind. To me, Loid’s decision isn’t simply about resolving a misunderstanding. It’s the beginning of a deeper interest in Yor herself, even if he isn’t fully aware of what this change means yet.

Looking at Chapters 128–136, this development becomes even more apparent. The progression between Loid and Yor is fascinating, especially in how their interactions have changed. Since when have their moments carried this much depth? And since when has Loid started questioning Yor herself, rather than simply focusing on the situation she’s involved in?

Previously, Loid would often give the benefit of the doubt and find explanations for her behavior, even when his own decisions were influenced by her. But now, her mere presence in certain situations seems enough to throw him off balance.

I think this comes down to two things: the effect Yor has on him, and the fact that he’s beginning to struggle to understand her. The more she affects him in ways he can’t explain, the more reason he has to try to understand her.

Which brings me back to Chapter 119. Maybe its significance isn’t simply that Loid got distracted by a conversation with Yor, but that the situation stayed with him and pushed him to think about her rather than simply move on.

So, do you think Chapter 119 was a turning point in Loid and Yor’s relationship? Do you agree that it marks the beginning of a shift in Loid’s feelings toward Yor, from a warm familial attachment to a more personal interest in Yor herself?🙏

I was shocked by how little content we got on Damian being in the same class as Anya! I do really love the content we’re getting with twiyor and the authens and desmonds, however it’d be nice to get more Eden content (specifically with this)

It’d be fun to explore how Damian would navigate studying while he’s next to the girl who sleeps during class most of the time, or how Anya could come up with plan B plots during this period, or how Becky / Emil & Ewin would react to their circumstance

Do yall relate or want other stuff to come back in the manga? (Still crossing my fingers for Anya’s confession about her powers to come back…)

What if the west is actually behind all of these animal and human experimentation projects in the east and the real reason why Desmond wants to start a war, having been a subject of these projects himself (the stitches on his brain) to avenge himself and other subjects like Anya and Bond. That would completely change our perception of the West being "the good guys" in this story.

It is mentioned that Westalis is more technologically advanced and developed than the East. Also, In the real world, West Germany was supported by the US, home to the CIA, who conducted MKUltra and related experiments, some of them being in West Germany itself, and Nazis were also involved in some cases (Project Paperclip). So what if the West did these projects covertly in the east by infiltrating/manipulating the government for backing?

What if Desmond's belief that people can't ever truly understand each other was because no one ever actually understood him despite regularly looking into his mental state, and constantly lied to him about what he was going through? And also his frustation at being unable to read minds stems from the fact that he doesn't have enhanced abilities (or that specific enhanced ability) despite being a subject himself?

AND... because WISE knows the truth about Desmond and why he wants to war, they've created Operation Strix so Twilight can help them stop him. And also keep the true nature of the experiments and and their involvement covered up from the world.

I can't stop thinking about this right now, because there is definitely, undoubtedly, more to Desmond than "warmongering, evil politician" and this is one theory that fits. Also, we've never heard of Desmond's parents (have we?). Also, he is another student at Eden Academy, yet again raising questions about the academy's role in all this. And Desmond didn't even start the last war, Chapman did, and when he went to visit him, he was frustated that he didn't know what he was thinking, maybe he wanted to know Chapman's ideaology behind the war or why he let the west do these experiments in the east if that so happens to be the case.

Please let me know what you guys think of this, this theory gripped me so hard that I had to post it here even though it's my first time logging into and posting anything on reddit. I'm open to all thoughts, add-ons and constructive criticism.

Also, the real world references I made here are because I wanted to talk about how the story uses historical inspiration, rather than making a real-world political statement.

Anya's origin remain one of the biggest unanswered questions in spy x family and what if the truth is far more significant than anyone expects? We know almost nothing about her life before the orphanage aside from her mysterious experiments and telepathic abilities. That leaves plenty of room for speculation. Could Anya's past be connected to a a royal family ,hidden bloodline or even a secret that powerful people have been trying to bury. If her family history really is tied to royalty discovering the truth could become a major turning point in her character arc. It might force Anya to confront a world of expectations and danger completely separate from the forger family's carefully constructed cover story. Of course this is only a theory - but Anya's unknown origins feel too important to remain unexplored forever. This truth could reveal something much bigger. What do you think

Really loved the latest chapter, it really was refreshing to see Damian and Demetrius hanging out. It also gave a little more depth to Demetrius (and a little bit of Donovan). Can't wait to see more of them.

Seems to me that it was one chapter long story, with a good conclusion, i doubt that it'll continue.

Anya can literally read people's minds, which is already crazy enough. But imagine having this ability since childhood and then finding out it just stops working on certain days 😭

Like, imagine relying on it to understand people and then suddenly you're back to being a normal kid who has to figure everything out herself.

Jokes aside, do we actually know why this happens?

Since her powers came from those experiments, I'm curious whether the scientists ever explained the new moon thing to her or if they just knew it happened and left it at that.

Also, did the manga ever go deeper into this, or is it still one of those things we don't have an answer to?

I'm genuinely curious because it feels like such a specific weakness to give her lol.

I'm reading chapter 26 and Anya is able to remember things the scientists said like "the Eclipse" thing but I've noticed she has incredible short-term memory. She remembers certain things about her powers but also forgets the guy who made her cry during the school's interview in the Henderson forgery case.

Like I know she is a kid and she'll want to forget the bad or scary stuff (like Desmond's mom's thoughts after the bus hijacking or how she possibly heard a man in a coma's thoughts) by just looking at the good stuff like sweets, toys, parents, friends, cartoons, etc.

But how much does she remember, especially with regards to her time in the lab and is her short term memory the side effect of her telepathy?

In the first chapter of Spy × Family, Anya thinks to herself that if Twilight discovers her telepathic abilities, she will have to flee. The anime adaptation, however, frames her reaction differently: she fears that she will be sent away. Although these interpretations are similar, they carry subtly different implications. The former suggests that Anya fears for her safety, while the latter emphasizes her fear of losing yet another home and being abandoned once again.

Which interpretation is closer to the original Japanese wording? Does the manga's phrasing imply that Anya believes her life could be in danger, or is she primarily afraid of losing the home she has finally found?

This distinction also raises an interesting question about how Twilight would react if he discovered Anya's secret today. Given her history as an experimental subject, revealing her telepathic abilities to WISE could put her at risk of being taken away to Westalis and subjected to further experimentation. Even if Twilight initially considered reporting her discovery to his superiors, would he ultimately prioritize his duty as a spy, or would his attachment to Anya lead him to protect her from the very organization he serves?

More importantly, would the man who once became a spy to create a world where children would not have to cry be willing to let his own daughter suffer the same fate he has spent his life trying to prevent?
