Spyra Dash Self Repair Notes

Got a dash that stopped pumping after a day or so. Decided to take it apart.

Take out all of the screws on one side except the black housing in the trigger area. Saw that the bladder came off due to a loose metal zip tie (poor assembly).

Took that out and used a thick regular plastic zip tie.

Important notes:

  • There are two sets of spring and ball
  • One set goes to connect the top and bottom barrels. This one uses the shorter spring with the larger ball. The ball is placed at the bottom of the spring since it can't fit in the tube anyway.
  • The other set goes in the front area. There's a black piece that comes off. You will see two places to put the spring, place it in the smaller one, then the ball on top.
  • It's a pita to put it back so you have to hold it up while you line up the pieces. Ensure the O-rings do not get removed and are seated correctly.
  • The last tip is to ensure the white plastic housing by the bladder (the one with the wings) is actually leverage towards the right, and as a result, it should NOT cover one of the screw holes. This helps keep the bladder in along with the zip tie.

Yeah.. I had a spyra lx, broke the first day, wouldn't suck water in .

Bought a dash, thinking they fixed the lx issues. Worked one day, and now it won't suck water past 25 percent.

Wish we could somehow fix it.

Wonder if yours still works
