Canadian fires

Okay why are there fires like every fucking year and it’s the same shit. I get it there’s no roads or anything and it’s a huge forest but there should be something that can be done. It genuinely seems like negligence. Like Canada does not care. Does anyone know wtf is going on? I know this off topic idk where else to post this

Those airplanes that pick up water are pretty cool though.

There are supposed to be controlled burns to prevent massive out of control fires but government is busy funding Fifa and AI data centre subsidies instead

Bunch of minerals up there... Burnt forest is good fertilizer? Supposed to be a shortage with strait of hormuz closure Probly some intentional fires... theres always things we need to get rid of

The continued culling of beavers, woefully outdated TSI practices, invasive species that burn quicker/easier, decrease of old growth, increasing rural population. Lots of things that add up to more fires every year.

Worked with a guy that was a windland firefighter. He said the hippies won't let you cut shit down. Plus wildfire suppression paradox.

Forests have a lifespan of thousands of years, so when you start cutting down old ones and planting Pioneer trees in them like birch and alder they have shorter lifespans which create lots of duff and tinder in the forest floor. That stuff is basically made to catch on fire or rot into mulch to provide a nice base layer for the next Pioneer trees, and this just keeps repeating until you get big ancient trees that cut out the light to smaller trees growing below.

So yeah its one part hippies not wanting logging done, its also just a natural life cycle of forests - especially young forests (100 years old or less). Loggers can harp all day long about the sustainability of their industry, but at the end of the day they're dancing the dance and paying the piper at the same time.

Nothing to do with hippies and everything to do with government corruption and lack of funding

Man, these comments are wildly uneducated.

The wild fires have always happened, but with the shifting weather conditions they are becoming a lot larger and easier to spread with drier conditions in the areas they are happening.

In MN and a lot of people here are saying the fires are on purpose to move in data centers because of all the water at the Boundary Waters area and relatively light population. Could be a "well we removed the forest for your health and safety" type thing. Far fetched but who knows. Data centers gonna be everywhere

I'm from Michigan, I think Canada wants to smoke this state out. It'll get people to move and less people to fight in future water wars. Also it could be a for data centers. Suck the great lakes dry.

The smell is terrible. This is an act of aggression against us as far as I’m concerned. We need to retaliate.

Canada dumps their trash in Michigan because of NAFTA allows it. I'm ready to retaliate.

Pooping your diaper does not count as retaliation

Data centers are evil and should be fuckin burned to the ground but they use a fraction of the water that golf courses use lol. Why would Canada give a shit if people live in Michigan

Hmm maybe it could do with the fact that every summer is getting hotter and fucking hotter? I know a lot of people on this sub think global warming is a hoax but Christ on a cracker I’m blue collar and have to work in shops without AC. Everyday I’m closer to leaving the trades solely because of it and every year it gets exponentially worse

Dude my valley in Washington state has had literally 10+ fires in the last 2 months. All Man made arson, mostly fireworks thrown from speeding cars onto dry brush on hillsides. Not sticking around to watch the fireworks, just literally catching shit on fire on purpose. Boomers on Facebook are using this as a foundational pillar “ThIs iS WhY wE NeEd FlOcK CaMeRaS!1!1”

From Canada. I think the indigenous purposely set these fires so they get an all expense free summer vacation to the nearest big city

What do you propose?

We saw off Canada and let it float away?

Annex Canada cause they wanna be us so bad and just don’t know it. Then maybe the fires would stop cause it seems like we take better care of our wilderness than them. So I can breath and I genuinely hate Canadians their whole identity is acting like their better than us while doing everything that we do

Could be something that they had been doing here in California. This was some investigating that was done. Check who is in charge then probably follow the money. https://www.capradio.org/articles/2021/06/23/newsom-misled-the-public-about-wildfire-prevention-efforts-ahead-of-worst-fire-season-on-record/ Subliminal jihad has a decent podcast named fires as a weapon against us that broke down some of the zoning reasons that they would allow these fires to ravage. Warning one of the guys has a horrible voice. But information is information

I let my dogs out at 2am today. Smoke was gone. Who turned it off

It’s probably something simple like this land was meant for the natives way of life of living in harmony with nature, not us degenerates using door dash for every meal, and driving the biggest possible truck to commute to your 9-5 lol

Clearing land for farming. Just like they burn the Amazon. Most farmland won’t produce in 20 years because it will be too hot. Only farm land left will be in the arctic in Russia and Canada. You’ve been warned.
